The truth is that this year (2016) is fatal to many great musicians. For me happened one resurrection. Personally, the most important band in my life are Renaldo & the Loaf. Formed on the wings of the new wave and more pervasive avant-garde movement. ArtMusic over Residents, Tuxedomoon and Snakefinger, in short, through Ralph Rec. And when all die and disappear, Renaldo mysteriously appear with a new album, after almost 30 years. As mysterious there are. Why do I think that is the most important band in the world ever?. It is not the first time that I realized how many children love this band. My little 5 years old girl is delighted. More than for the artists who sold millions of f....n Mp3 shit. Children are the biggest and most important critics. I qualified. A Renaldo are after 30-year break, still embryonic playful. Wooow, I'm so happy !!! I'm not only one 50 years old kid!!!

A fantastic delineation, and I now consider you brethren. My daughter's ears grew up around the likes of The Residents, Renaldo & the Loaf, Mr. Bungle, Frank Zappa... and now she is well on her way; a college student and an expert, self-taught keyboardist who can learn & play ANYTHING she sets her mind to. By the grace of GAWD, she chooses a repertoire of almost exclusively Video Game Music, (especially old-school Nintendo) -- which by the way should NEVER be underestimated in its sweeping emotional beauty, intricacy, humor, imaginative depth and sheer brilliance! The likes of RatL and composers like Koji Kondo will someday be fully recognized as purveyors of truly great music, at one with the Universe.

When I saw you in the forest I had no idea what was going on:D When I saw the video, it was pretty much everything I didn't expect. Now I love it! It's creepy in a cosy way.. if you understand what I mean.. I tried to capture that forest in a creepy way with my camera, but I couldn't. You did it perfectly though. Why am I just finding out now that R&L made a new album years ago. I've been a fan since high school. I'm 43 now, and this is just a breath of fresh air. I ordered the album immediately. Was there ever a vinyl release? I see a photo of a test press copy.
