The Russian Federation can be crazy cool even outside of these two big cities, I can recommend going to Krasnodar krai (cities like Krasnodar itself, and Anapa, Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik, Sochi), the beautiful city of Kazan in Tatarstan Republic of Russia, and of course the city that carries the name of the Empress herself - Yekaterinburg in Sverdlovsk oblast... It's incredible what kind of things you can find there, and beauty that very few Western tourists have seen.

If you have some free time to travel during the World Cup, you might also like to visit some minor cities like Kaluga, Tula, Belgorod. And if you like history, you have to visit Volgograd (ex-Stalingrad) and Kursk, there were the most devastating battles of WW2 (Battle of Stalingrad and Battle of Kursk). And the village of Borodino near Moscow, the place of Battle of Borodino, the most deadly battle of Napoleonic wars and a turning point that led to Napoleon's downfall.

@@RenataPereiraTV Dear Renata. Please don't get offended by those rude comments that you receive in response of your KGB moment. You were absolutely right about the building. During 1930 and 40th it had a notorious internal prison were people did get tortured and than executed at a near shooting site on Bolshaya Lubyanka street where one of the famous Moscow monasteries - Sretenskiy - is now located. These people are die-hard communists that will deny the obvious no matter what. The fact that they swarmed around you tells me that it was sort of a flashmob action that is a popular method of putting down opponents in various online campaigns around the net. Russian history is enormously complicated of course. Let me explain. KGB has evolved over time. In 1920-50 it was known for torture and executions under the names of Ch-K, OGPU, NKVD, MGB. Than after Stalin death it was renamed and reformed and became a much softer tool of political oppression, no torture or executions. I wish you would stay away from any political discussions with these people, it doesn't make any sense. I enjoy your program and wish you the best. And yes , Moscow is beautifull, much much better than in Soviet times.

Dear Reneta thank you for your remarkable work and decent efforts. You made me very happy and nervous at the same time by this video. I always like to see Moscow and Russia as i love Russia but at the same time i very much miss it and it has gotten even more my wish and need to be there now....... I watched also your other videos about Russia and i noticed your fair, objective and honest style. I appreciate it very much. Thank you also for to be without common and chronic western negative prejudgements and stereotypes about Russia..... Unlike typical western mass media representatives you are courageous enough to admit you like something Russian...... I impatiently wait for your new works......

Renata Pereira Oh! so unexpected! :) It's wonderful! I was on Tchaikovsky's grave in St. Petersburg several times. Beautiful monument. You can see the photo on the Internet.(It is located in the Necropolis in the Alexander Nevsky Lavra.) Dostoevsky, Borodin (Opera" Prince Igor") are buried there . They're the ones you might know. :)

Renata Pereira I also really liked the production of the Nutcracker ballet at the St. Petersburg Conservatory (it is located opposite the Mariinsky theatre). It was very beautiful. Music, dancing, scenery, costumes... I also saw Swan lake there. If we talk about Tchaikovsky :)

Yes, I heard about this cemetery. A tour guide there saw one of my videos in St Petersburg and invited me to go there for a tour, but unfortunately, I had already left the city 😥😥 Next time!

I saw several versions of the Nutcracker all over the world and I always get so emotional that I cry! Can you believe it? Every time!!! 😂😂😂 Wow! The Swan Lake might be so incredible! Seeing that in Russia would bring tears to my eyes as soon as the first act starts!

Which I had seenyour videos before I booked my ticket and visit Russia. Could not by online tickets to see the Bolshoi and there weren't any when I got to Moscow as it was their final weekend summer performances but was lucky to see the Marinsky ballet in Saint Petersburg just as famous, good and beautiful theater.

Lucky for newcomers, thnx to current mayor, Moscow is now in the best shape ever. I was born here and can compare. The center inside Sadovoye circle is an eye-candy whenever you would go.

Dear Renata, I was also at the same time period like you in Moscow when St.Nicolas bones were in church... we wait 3hrs in queue. 10 days in mid of July 2017 in Moscow and before that 7 days in St.Petersburg (end June and begining of July 2017 when they have big white nights). Your VLOG and comments are very professional (much better than my videos and photos ). Thanks for VLOGs!!!!

Hi Vladimir! I'm so glad you like them! Thank you so much! I'm a journalist and used to work on TV, so this previous experience certainly helps. I can't imagine how amazing the highlight of White Nights is! I saw it in the beginning of June and was already amazed! Cheers and all the best!

It's a great idea to show Moscow without looking at Red Square. One could do without the Kremlin! Moscow is not the Kremlin and the subway, Moscow, it's old courtyards, lanes, boulevards, traffic jams, grandmothers on benches museums, theaters ... But everyone makes a video only of the Kremlin. It's depressing ...
@RenataPereiraTV6 жыл бұрын
Moscow is beautiful! I couldn't resist the Red Square and the Kremlin either... Hehehe! My first 2 videos were there! But you're right, there's so much more to do in Moscow, and I know I still missed a lot!
@galinaturner20604 жыл бұрын
Yes, there are some not very beautiful places in Moscow. How about Chicago? I have never seen such poor areas as in southern Chicago. But everyone makes video from Downtown of Chicago and Michigan Avenue, not from South of Chicago. is it not depressing?

@@galinaturner2060 В Москве нет такого понятия "бедный район". Так же нет такого понятия, как "криминальный район". Город утопает в зелени, прекрасные дороги, детские площадки, зоны отдыха для горожан, парки, скверы...
@galinaturner20604 жыл бұрын

Hi, Renata! Great video as always! You know there is also the interesting story about that large stature of Peter the Great. It was originally the statue of Columbus that Moscow authorities wanted to present to USA in 1992 to commemorate the 500 years of Columbus journey to American continent. But Americans didnt really liked it cause it was too large and they didnt know where to put it so they returned it back. Then Moscow authorities just cut the Columbus head and put the Peter head instead making it essentially the new statue which they put in the place you have seen. Its true many people dont like it but its already a hystory so I think it will stay. Best wishes on your blog and good trip to Sochi! Now it is most popular Russian ski resort in winter so it would be nice to see your impression about the city 😊
@RenataPereiraTV6 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul! That is so funny!!! No wonder there was controversy in Moscow! Thanks for sharing this! I've just returned from Sochi and wish I could have stayed longer. It was -14 C in Moscow and +14 C in Sochi (but much colder in the mountains)! hahaha! I took this picture there: instagram.com/p/Bf1JNTGhl7m/?taken-by=renatapereira.tv - It was only a short business trip, so I couldn't create a detailed vlog like this 😟, but I shot a quick video at the boardwalk and I'm planning to edit as soon as I'm done with these videos of the road trip in the USA. It seemed very nice! I only stayed in the city, unfortunately to time to visit Krasnaya Polyana 😩😩! Need to go back one day!
