That BIG wing at the back is stopping this cat at high speeds or maybe something’s wrong with the boost. I had a Clio 4 RS 200edc Phase 1 and i had no problems reaching 236km/h (top speed on my car) with two passengers weight about 190kg.

You should take a video and compare the time it takes in your car in a 100-200 compared to this one, and the 100-230, to have a more accurate idea. Although as always it will depend on the road. That is because sometimes when you are driving you get a wrong impression about the real time it takes to reach certain speed. I know a lot of people that experienced that, they say my car can reach, let's say, 230, but then they take a video and you can see that it goes to that speed, but it really takes an eternity... stepping 1 by 1 slowly at the last paaaart... In these cases I always assume that the real "practical" top speed is about 10 km/h less. Having said that, yes, it id possible that that wing coul be stealing, I din't know, 5-7 km/h from the top speed

@@speedyme200 the "fun" only begins when you got to fix the bloody thing, Renault engineers are evil and the kind of people who would make it so you would have to take the intre top part if the engine apart (valve train and all), just to change spark plugs if the could find out how. I have actually worked on one or two Renaults, I don't enjoy, it is like with the placement of every bolt, there has been a committee of French engineers with the soul goal of making it un-logical and horrible to work on.

I owned the pre-facelift Trophy for less than a year. Great fun to drive when you want some fun but a complete nightmare as a daily driver, especially on UK roads. Bones break over every surface and the auto box is terrible at low speeds and stop start traffic. Just a warning to those looking to buy one!

@@micdav2000 the pricetag it's huge of course, but they are really different machines, one's Fwd derived from a consumer day-to-day car, the other one it's an omologation special actually limited, and yet it has Awd and completely different chassis design, for the 3-cyl Toyota made a mistake in my opinion to downsize such car and it obv doesn't leave a lot of headroom for some stage 1/2 huge power bumps, but I really like the idea of a small car, rally-inspired with awd, I don't know it makes it versatile in a certain way, but I will never have enough money to have one so a man can only dream :)

It's called draggy, costs 149€ .... It comes with a gps receiver for inside the car , and an app... It's via sattelite and gps, super precise!

That is a Draggy. The main, and critical, difference compared to chrono apps for smartphones that use phone GPS, is that smartphone GPSs position refresh rate is 1Hz, this is, 1 update per second, and that gives awful accuracy, having an error in between 0 and 1 seconds on each speed "frontier"!!! (Averaging 0.5 seconds error on each. This is, you can have 0.5 secs average error detecting when you pass through 100 km/h mark, and another 0.5 secs average error when you pass through 200 km/h mark. The rotal error in the 100-200 will average 1 second, but could be as high as 2 seconds). Instead, the Draggy uses its own GPS receiver and software, which has 10 Hz refresh rate, which means 10 updates per second, so the average error on each speed frontier will be 0.05 secs, averagind only 0.1 secs error in a 100-200 run. There is still another, more expensive device, the VBox that you may have seen in some KZbin Videos, that have a 100 Hz version, and is used professionally. With this, the average error is as low as 0.005 secs on each speed frontier, so 0.01 secs on a 100-200.
