What colour brand you are using? And.... Which pigment you are using for clear coat? Im my country i can buy perl base and red transparent but it is much eaiser to add red pigment direct to clear....

Very nice! i' ve made the same car but with ppg paint process... 1st layer same basecoat, 2nd layer semitransparent basecoat with a little bit of red and 3rd layer clearcoat... It need a lot of basecoat because not cover the primer, also is more expensive and difficult method compared to spieshecker / ixell / dupont method!

Neon 89 The factory uses a tinted clear. Axalta tries to keep everything to factory spec.

super work ☺ I have a question. You have many Renault cars with the paint. Why? Do the cars have damage or varnish defects? My Megane 4 has many paint quality problems. Pimples, lacquer inserts that open. My Renault dealer has reworked on warranty. But very bad, what can I do?

thanks,at that point there wasnt yet clear in the edges,i only spray there with a not tinted clear.the shine and the mat of the basecoat gives the effect you saw.

Yes second cup is cut 30% with blender,otherwise you see the basecoat blendzone tru the tinted clear.

I m not trying,its the Hi-Tec 480 serie.the coverrage is enormous specially with a color full with mettalics like this one.

@@DutchCarPainter Thats Spies Hecker? Awesome coverage! Im about to start working at a shop next week that uses BASF(water base) Im curious to see how good the coverage is. You using the Devilbiss or Tekna gun here? Do you like them for clear aswell? I am in Canada, so here the Prolite is labelled under Tekna which is Devilbiss. I use it for base and clear, but sm looking at a dedicated clear gun...Any suggestions?
