Bulletproof, eazily exceeds 500k kms. Lot issue with injectors from Delphi and dislikes really cold climate, under 2013 start&stop models have a faulty temperature sensor and won't idle after running 30s in cold temps, can easily be tricked with a resistor and runs fine. 95PS 2014 models are the most economical and also came with 6 gears and dual mass flywheel. I have a 2014 95PS 1.5 DCI since 2017 and after 140k kms i have to say it's the best small displacement diesel. The car now has 270k km and it feels like brand new. I replaced only wear items like anti-roll rods, shocks and wheel bearings, no bushes, no engine mounts. On the engine side, i replaced a faulty fuel rail pressure regulator that made the car halt for 1/2s under low acceleration under 2000rpm , 2/4 glow plugs and the glow plugs computer and i had a leaky EGR coolant pipe due to counterfeit coolant(it wrecked havoc in my cooling system, lots of rust and sediments from that). I fixed the pipe and did several flushes and replaced with oem renault antifreeze and no problem since. 0 failed DPF regen, almost perfect fuel correction on the injectors. Driven HARD on mountain passes almost 1 out of 10 drives the car makes🤣. No issue, it's so good i bought a second megane for my fiancee, for her i got a 2012 2.0dci 165PS Coupe. It's even more robust than the 1.5 but running costs are 50% more. 10-12l/100km city 7.5 highway 6 national roads vs 6l city 5l highway 3.8 national roads. Servicing costs at least 50% more due to a larger oil pan 7.4l for the m9r vs 4.7 k9k. The best 1st car i could ve gotten. All my friends sold their 1st car in max 3 years, mine is stout after 7 and has yet to dissapoint.
