You bloody genius!! Worked a treat. One of my coils went the other day and I've just got the parts and fixed it. Only thing is the engine management and service light were permanently on. That saves me getting ripped off by my local garage while he scratches his chin sighs tells me to come back later so he can bill me £80 to put it right

Hi. We have a 2001 Renault Scenic RX4 {THE 4X4 VERSION OF THE SCENIC} ITS A 2 LITRE PETROL,,,do you please know how to reset the engine management light ? I was told i need a new cat because its an exhaust gas light ! Thankyou ;-)

You need to fix the problem first, then it will automatically turn of or you turn it off wit a computer. But it don't always have to be the cat, it can also be something else. Check it out with a car computer

I did it, but when I turned back on again , it came back. So in my case...didnt work. got megane 2004

I have a Renault Megan 2005 the air bag light is on it does not have a fault code on the restrain on the diagnostic and I cannot turn off the fault code could you please say what the problem is thanks (Ian)

On the later models the reset is as described but pushing the button on the end of the right wand, not the left as shown at the end of the video.

Yep same here, had to move to change oil then hold right stick followed by the one on the dash.

Hi all - I had this issue - car went in for service (non-renault service technician) and they couldn't deactivate the service-now light. I followed the above procedure and had to use the wiper-side button as i had no trip gauge button - however on my vehicle THIS DEACTIVATES MY AUTO HEADLIGHT FUNCTION! I tried a few alternatives and then thought like a French man (no offence) - the same mode scroll button on the right stick when held in for a few seconds actually deactivated the service-now indicator. As above, one had to have the mode set to service. Hope that helps. I have a 2009 Renault Megane diesel 1.9 and am in Australia. Cheers

Yes I fixed it. I opened the dash and took the screen out and noticed that there are very fine wires behind it. They were bemt and nlt making contact so I straightened them up and it's all ok now.

you dont need to hold the start button in all that time. just dip the clutch, press the button and as soon as the dash lights come on release the clutch and the engine wont start but the ignition will be still on then you can do the rest from there.

Ya I did . Took the panel of and found a bent wire. So strained it and it works.

I had the same problem for years. Finally got it sorted. It was my Fuel filter. It was corroded and hadn't been replaced when I had my service. Works great now and not had check injection show up on my dash.
