Renault R8 Gordini 16V PWR || 180Hp/740Kg Rear-Engined Classic

Among the great Renault Sport units owned by the Wiebe family on Germany, the most Iconic one is probably this beautiful R8 Gordini. Starting its Racing over 20 years ago, it nowadays only races on special occasions but it certainly is still a very special machine.
The Rear Engined French Classic is powered here by the 1.3L NA unit in 16 valve form (using a Honda Super BlackBird cylinder head), producing around 180Hp, which is plenty given that total weight is only 740Kg. You can even see how agile this machine is on one of its last competitive outing at the vey narrow Wolsfeld Hillclimb.

Hey Mr. Vogelgesang, the information on their website says it´s a 8v engine, but with a motorcycle header, only if it´s from a Hayabusa. Is that the case?

@@HillClimbMonsters Seems to be the case. If you Google 'Hayabusa cylinder head on VW', that gives plenty of results of a similar type. It's a tricky job, but the air flow rates from even the stock Suzuki head make it worthwhile.
