OMG you are awesome x I just opened my key up to compare with casings on eBay. Found exact one. Then realigned the broken micro switch and put old one back together and it's working again.....should last until new one arrives x

there called tactile switches not micro however your bang on the money after doing this kind of repair for many years I can say this is the way I would approach this repair

Hi. Excellent video.. My Renault trafic is messing around. I both new battery. Was working for 4 hours and now I close the van. Is it the key or is the neighbour?

May I ask , where exactly is the light that lights up when you press a button. I have the circuit board in front of me a a big magnifying glass and I cannot see this light or any sign of an LED etc. Thank you.
