Obvious the lyrics are great, but what sets this song apart for me is how they use the underlying bass drum beat to support the message. It starts off slowly (like a heartbeat) and it speeds up through the song building to a climax at the end (like a beating heart as we are running into the open arms of Jesus). Jesus is waiting for us to run to Him!

Verse 1 By grace alone somehow I stand Where even angels fear to tread Invited by redeeming love Before the throne of God above He pulls me close with nail-scarred hands Into His everlasting arms Verse 2 When condemnation grips my heart And satan tempts me to despair I hear the voice that scatters fear The Great I Am The Lord is here Oh praise the One who fights for me And shields my soul eternally Chorus Boldly I approach your throne Blameless now I'm running home By your blood I come Welcomed as your own Into the arms of majesty Verse 3 Behold the bright and risen Son More beauty than this world has known I’m face to face with love Himself His perfect spotless righteousness A thousand years, a thousand tongues Are not enough to sing His praise Bridge This is the art of celebration Knowing we’re free from condemnation Oh praise the One, praise the One Who made an end to all my sin

Truth, just truth. Redeeming, compassionate, merciful Father. I deserve nothing, but You delight to redeem those who acknowledge Your Son. His obedience, humility and meekness - The Bright and Risen Son. More beauty than this world has known. May Father preserve and protect this Godly group who are bringing His truth to a hungry, thirsting world.

I love this song because it is true to the gospel and puts all the emphasis on God and Him calling us so that we may be blameless before Him. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man boast.

+Damp Blue his grace and beauty seemed to be missing during the holocaust, 9/11 and many other atrocities through time. On this day alone your god has watched at least 21,000 innocent children die under his watch. Come at me you deluded christians, argue against me with your silly bible verses and weak minds but take a look around at the world. Not from your Suburban American paradise but look around you at the chaos that your god watches every day. I'm sorry but its one of two things, either god cannot intervene (rendering him not powerful at all) .... or he is a horrible sadistic asshole that likes to watch evil unfold before his eyes

I understand your thinking. On my worst days, I've been there. I watched my brother slip from this life at age 14, I've watched my wife suffer through a miscarriage after wanting a child so badly, and on a grander scale, there are the events you mention. You know God gave the human race a choice; if there is no choice, then we are nothing more than robots with no free will....where would be the love in that? The beauty sung of here is that God made a way of redemption. Free grace...unmerited, undeserved favor. God is within His right as a perfect and holy God to condemn each one of us if He so chooses. He didn't do that. God offers through Jesus Christ forgiveness and eternal life. I think that's pretty amazing. This world is a dark place. Those children of which you speak have been taken from this world of pain and have entered into His arms of love.

Awesome. Awesome Awesome. Chris' " rawness " of voice really connects deep inside and it leaves you there in the presence of the living God. I was hooked when I heard first heard Rend Collective on TBN singing Second Chance. Their words transport you.

I wonder why most of the live worship videos use such short clips for the slides. Rend Collective, Hillsong, Jesus Culture, Passion. I understand that the songs are often fast-paced, so they make the clips fast-paced. But it's very frenetic to me. I'd like the clips to be a little bit more extended, like maybe 5-6 seconds each rather than 1-2 seconds. Of course, maybe they are trying to squeeze in as many images as they can, so they have to go fast. I don't think that's a good idea. Personal preference, of course. Your mileage may vary.
