Rendsburg High Bridge, rail crossing - north Germany - south Denmark mainline railway traffic [4K]

I love this bridge. In the middle of the eighties I was in Rendsburg on a language trip twice. I stayed at a family living really close to the bridge on the south-side of the canal. I have travelled many times under the high bridge with the hanging ferry, but my first time travelling over it was last year. And I loved it. I could even see the house where I stayed that time. Nice to see it from this view l. Very good video. 😃👏🏻

They tend to run in the middle of the night around there. But they are late quite often so sometimes you can see it in the daylight. At least in the summertime

Totally agree! I live in southern Hungary and I'm completely sick by these long heat waves which constantly cause temperatures of at least around 30-40°C.. I would prefer to be in northern Germany...

"Between the far north of Germany and Denmark" ... that would be between Flensburg and Padborg. Rendsburg is maybe 50 km to the south.

I hate this bridge. I don't often go from Hamburg to the north this way, so I always forget about it. Imagin you are suddenly on this bridge and have fear of heights. I always dying inside...

Finally found someone understanding my fear. I was on it today, my third time. I try to avoid it as much as I can. I don't like the feeling and even stopping or slowing down sometimes while we are up in the sky. I don't look left or right and pray that it's over soon.

How do you know he hasn’t gotten authorisation? A lot of his videos across the years have had really close up views that would definitely be illegal otherwise.

@@olasola1013 Firstly, if he had a licence he would have to mention it in the video. I'm a train driver there myself and I know that it's not allowed for non-railway staff. There is a gate at the entrance to the way up that hasn't been there long. Because there are too many people who have stayed there without authorisation. There are many train driver colleagues who react sensitively when people walk around there who have no business being on the tracks. Interfering with traffic is also a criminal offence.

@@sselfg Wichtigtuer? Als Lokführer will man keine Leute vor seinem Zug herumrennen haben, die dort nichts zu suchen haben. Bedanke dich bei denen, die es nicht interessiert, dass man sich nicht direkt an oder auf Bahngleisen aufhalten soll. Schon gar nicht an die, die sogar auf die Hochbrücke gehen und nur mal gucken wollen. Wenn man das häufig erlebt wird, wird man halt sensibler und hat kein Verständnis mehr für solche, die meinen, ein Zug kann doch schnell bremsen. Einfach nur Kopfschütteln über dich, viele andere, denen es nicht klar ist.
