I didn’t take it as a diss, more as an acknowledgement of that feeling. Lord knows I felt it at the beginning of my career (not music), and still do 5 years in. Not everyone feels it, but I think enough of us do that it’s easy to bond over

She never said she didn’t listen to that stuff. She said her mom listened to mostly R&B and hip hop. And it seemed to be mostly 90s as well. No one is saying those artists aren’t awesome

I was so excited when I found her music because I loved her voice and the range is incredible, and then found out some other things about her behavior that completely turned me off to her. I don't know how to discern the art from the artist and it's a shame cause she is very talented, but she is also seemingly equally as problematic & abusive as well. It's sad when the bullied become bullies themselves.
