Tim, you were so nice when I met you on the TRT this summer on your day 2 and then again in desolation, it was a real treat! Loopy was such a fun guy I hiked and camped with him a bit on trail. I loved the TRT and the trail holds a very special place in my heart! Great video, thank you for taking me back! -Luisa

“Git while the gittin’s good.” “You never know…” Old mantra’s get old for good reason…from an old veteran, retired in the foothills of the Smokies. One of my favorite resting pleasures is also to dip my feet into a cool creek…Thank you for sharing your adventures.

Great job modeling how to properly care for your injury. So many try to push through and then have to sit out long periods to heal. Love this longer video.

Your ears, your precious ears! As a 61 yr old melanoma survivor, I was hyper focused on that in your video. 😊 I appreciated your comment about good intentioned, but ill advice. Once I was trying to make it to a lake on a snowy patchy hard to follow trail. Others coming opposite me told me more than once that I was “almost there.” Something made no sense, distance, etc., and I referred to my map and navigation (this was prior to Garmins, etc) sure enough I was waaay past my lake turn off. I love people’s advice, but I will never COUNT on it.

Agreed, and I wouldn't comment at all if I didn't love these videos so much. There's no need to embellish great videos with "telephone on hold" music. We love you two so much! ❤❤❤
@catblue6393Ай бұрын
Agreed. The music is too much and too loud. It was hard to hear what Tim was saying sometimes. With the sounds of the trail, music seems unnecessary. No offense intended. Just my opinion, and I could just be a crusty old fart.
@kristymoore7052Ай бұрын
It’s hard right? Music is not needed or an irritant for some, an absolute necessity for others. I live in a household of ADHD’s, introverts, other whatever disorders or dispositions. It’s amazing how we somewhat get along.

Re: Shin Splints or pain, I know you have tons of experience but one thing to consider is that, for whatever reason, your feet may have needed more room in your shoes. It may have constricted your foot splay which translates up to the shin. Loosening your shoe tying & having more volume (such as a wider toe box) could help a lot. Solved my shin splints forever (and how I buy shoes). ☮️❤️🤝
@theprodigalson4003Ай бұрын
I agree, barefoot shoes alleviated all my issues from knee hip and back pain all the way to shin splints and Plantar fasciitis. I wear Joto swim shoes for all my walks and I’d rather die than have to wear boots in favour of them!
