8:13 This is a monument to Jan Hus and his followers, the Hussites and the Unity of the Brethren, which was dedicated on the 500th anniversary of his death in 1915. Their dream was not fulfilled until almost 600 and 300 years later. A more detailed description follows. The first inscription, "Love one another, wish truth to everyone" (this is a quote from Jan Hus. The Czechs tried to get rid of the absolutist rule of the Habsburgs, but lost and were forcibly recatholized/expelled/killed, followed by a 30 year war in Europe. It took 300 years for the Czechs to get rid of Habsburg rule as Comenius wished and become independent).
