The year was 1989, I had gotten into Pop Will Eat Itself and they name-dropped Renegade Soundwave in the song “Can U Dig It?” And I had no idea what they were talking about. Fast forward a year or so later and this video comes on late night MTV and I was like WHAAA? I immediately bought this album on cassette and absolutely adored it. I wore that thing down for sure. This track is still one of my favorite dance bangers from the era.

I'm a late 80s early 90s new wave, industrial, rave fanatic and I've NEVER heard of these guys. Really amazing stuff! Discovered them hearing "Bacteria" in an Autechre DJ set.

@@croydonable no, I wish I was in the UK during that scene. I had to hear of rave acts as they trickled into the US (Texas at that) and missed out on a lot. Where are you at?

Pittsburgh, PA in the late 80s had an awesome alternative music station WXXP...."Double X" as it was nicknamed. Where I heard this song for the first time.....used to listen to that station religiously as a teen......miss those days.

WVUM would blast it too. Signal was so weak back then you couldn't get it on the beach. Could barely hear it in the Grove.
