It's been a while since I've gone back to this game. Don't have a steady Internet connection anymore. The MAS-49 Grenade Launcher variant was added so the Sapper class (guy with the landmines and IEDs) was useful for offense in Territories mode. Can't really use booby traps when you're attacking. One thing I like about the Red Orchestra/Rising Storm series is that bullet trajectories are a factor and your weapon sights have to be set to a certain range to hit a target a certain distance away.

Honestly to actually see someone do proper mortar tactics for the game is actually pretty awesome, whenever I hear of "noobtube" its mainly just someone sending random explosives at a direction and hoping for the best, like for example Nevil did when he shot that mortar at something entirely random, and we never heard of it again, I'd say there's a difference between no skill spam and actually showing how to calculate a mortar as that takes some skill and not to mention a lot of training to master.

Speaking as an Arma player, there's also an addon called Task Force Arrowhead Radio (known as TFAR), that pipes the sound from your channel into the game, and operates on a proximity basis. The closer you are, the louder they are. Makes immersion and coordination with massive groups a looot easier to do.

Well, I use TeamSpeak for so long I can’t really tell how many years it was and personally i prefer it over discord for talking with my friends. We’ve got a group a size about as Soviet has his clan. And discord has great tools to manage a community but to be honest I feel like it has more use in bigger communities that a group of friends playing games, I mean it has too many options and TS is just simpler and has basically everything we need to just talk without all this unnecessary stuff. Discord is cool to actually many things apart from talking cuz the quality isn’t really that good. And why always most people who use discord have problem to someone who’s using teamspeak and have this need to convice how great discord is xD It’s really so annoying

@@Dr_Monitor i think you dont know what youre talking about if youre saying using grenade launchers is not noob tubing. the whole idea of noob tubing was people blindly firing explosive at the other side. grenade launchers was the most common culprit of noob tubing cause you can legitimately kill people right at the start of the game if you managed to find the right angle and timing. also Nate was saying noob tubing before he realize Womble was using the papers to calculate distance.
