If I had to guess, I think Alpharad's character is inspired by Larry from Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. Literally an everyday working man/Gym Leader/Elite Four member all with a deadpanned expression

She was able to cast Command which isn’t on the Sorcerer spell list. I think she was playing a Warlock with the Fiendish patron (If I recall correctly, she had a pact of the chain familiar and talked to her patron at some point. Some things were left out of the animation).

there's a 2 hour vod where she and charlie roll up her character if you wanna watch it! maybe im a nerd but i found it very fun to sit through haha. she plays a fiend patron warlock (pact of the chain!) and zoot's familiar is literally the blue angry bird lol but it was cut from the animation it seems. zoot also canonically hates doctors which i find very funny.

Btw, yes… this was VERBATIM what happened in the campaign (although heavily condensed because it took more than 4 hours to complete). Charlie stated himself (while also reacting to the vid) that it was the most chaotic and psychopathic campaign he ran, and he loves it!😂 He also pointed out that there was an actual reason he made the sheep a main part of the story, but I don’t think I can describe it as well as he did, so I’ll just recommend you check out his vod in your own time.

Two fun bits of trivia about the goblin battle: 1. After Gobble-Gob plummeted to his demise, Paul led everyone still alive in a solemn and surprisingly sweet prayer for GG's soul to find peace in the afterlife, which earned him an inspiration point. 2. The axe getting "peeled" was something Charlie agreed to throw in at Alpharad's request because one of the blades broke off his battleaxe prop in real life right around that time, and this is why Paul (who also had Boomerang Proficiency) was able to use it as a makeshift boomerang later (albeit with disastrous results). Bonus Trivia: They actually had a logical reason for So-Long-Gay-Bowser-ing Luap into the wand specifically! They weren't sure if simply touching the wand would cause it to activate on its own, so they decided to toss the party member that actually _wanted_ to be changed, just in case.

23:08 Fun fact: The whole no "So long, gay/kinga bowser" and instead "bye-bye" sitch with Mario 64 in Mario 3D All-Stars is because Nintendo used the "Super Mario 64: Shindō Pak Taiō" version of the game. Since the japanese know/knew bowser as "Koopa", that explains the "bye bye" voice clip. Fun Fact 2: You can get your "so long, gay bowser" on your switch with Mario 64, Nate....you just got to fork up so much dough is the catch, ehehehe (aka pay for the Switch online + Expansion subscription to get access to the N64 retro library which currently has Mario 64) ^^;

Jaiden was playing an Acid-Type Dragonborn fiend patron warlock and she was using her tongue as her casting focus, hence the runes on her tongue when she used the scroll in the beginning, which is why most of her spells come out of her mouth rather than her hands. It was just a flavor thing she wanted to go for, and her Eldritch blasts were also flavors to be acid as well to keep with her theme.

In the most recent campaign I was a part of I saved a bunch of elves and they all had good stealth (I was a thief and I rolled for their stealth and added my stealth bonus) then a child elf asked me to save his mom so I did I made a joke and I made it clear that it was a joke asking if she was a milf one of the other players asked what the answer was and the DM rolled for the answer rolled a nat 20 and she was the only elf with bad stealth tldr I saved an elf milf and she was the only elf with bad stealth

it's really surprisingly intuitive to play, i would recommend listening to some actual play d&d podcasts like just roll with it, or critical role, but if you dont have time for that, there are pdfs of the books online for free you can read through! also there are many online communities looking for people to play d&d with, like discord servers and such. if youre interested in d&d, i highly recommend looking into it! it's such a fun game with a legendary community.

I'm a little late, and this may have been answered already, but if I remember correctly, Jaiden was a warlock, she had a bird that got cut out and she also had a pact with a devil, which also got cut out from the video because at the end (spoilers) they used the wand to turn the bird into a human and he became like a really weird naked man balled up on the floor, and I believe the devil got cut due to lack of context, she also has a pentagram tattoo on her tongue which she casts her spells with (flavor)

I'm gearing up to GM a game...not D&D though. I got a friend, I've been trying to get a TTRPG group together but among ALL 4 of my other major friends (there is one other but he don't hang out with the group much and he's more their friend than mine), only me and one other have ANY experience with TTRPGs and he's the only one with GM experience...so getting a group together is kinda rough. Though...last time me and one of my friends who isn't experienced with TTRPGs was at the local table top store (for a Halloween party) I made him an offer knowing his likes: I'll learn to GM a game of the G.I. Joe TTRPG if he, his brother, and our other friend who like them haven't played TTRPGs, will put in the effort to LEARN to play it. So while I was off painting a miniature (cool little thing my store does for things like that, $10 gets you a holiday themed model and all the paint you need) he was going over the core rule book for the game since they had it at the store. He agreed so next year I'm gonna pick up the core book for G.I. Joe (all of us are 80-90s kids so we grew up loving stuff like G.I. Joe) and learn how to be a GM...hopefully I can get my friend who has experience to 1) Help and 2) offer to GM a few games as well so I can actually play and not be a forever GM. I figured offering to GM something he has an interest in to start off with might lead the way to getting into some fantasy stuff like D&D or Pathfinder.
