The joke with Belle in the count down is she sings less and less before exploding. In the end she barely sings "There" before the explosion.
@Nicrocon Жыл бұрын
You wouldn't have noticed because you kept skipping it, but the transitions with Belle kept getting shorter and shorter as the video went on with the explosion cutting Belle off sooner with each number. It was a really funny detail I wish you would've seen, as it highlights making fun of the bad singing in that movie by giving it less time to be heard.

@@jcj268 I know some have said they'd want Tom Holland and Zendaya for Milo and Kida, but I think there are others that could fit Milo better. Like Dylan O'Brien from Maze Runner. Besides, sometimes Tom Holland isn't always the best pick for movies outside of Spider-Man, especially after Uncharted (2022). Don't get me wrong, I love Tom Holland, and his movies aside from Spider-Man have been good too, like The Impossible or The Devil All The Time, or Onward. But yeah, Mark Wahlberg, or let's face it, Nathan Fillion at their current age, had more believability as Nathan Drake than Tom. Also, if they do have the "surprise villain" in an Atlantis remake, make him someone with ties to the ancient civilization, who wants to use the Crystal or *Heart of Atlantis* to rule or destroy the surface world. You know, like Mark Hamill's Muska from Castle in the Sky, who had ties to Laputa, the floating city.

The word 'gay' dates back to the 12th century and comes from the Old French 'gai', meaning 'full of joy or mirth.' It may also relate to the Old High German 'gahi', meaning impulsive. i googled it.

Funny you mention that, as the Esperanto language has two words derived from the English _gay,_ but the different meanings thereof - _gaja_ meaning “merry/cheerful”, and _geja_ meaning homosexual. Disney's The Black Cauldron was based off of a mashup of the first two books of the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander. The first volume was called The Book of Three, and the second volume was The Black Cauldron. Quite a bit of the story was on point, but there is a LOT of stuff missing, including my favorite character, Gwydion. He's the prince of the story that actually knows what he's doing and Taran's really a brat for the most part, like in the movie. Some appearances of the characters that DO appear in the movie don't make sense. Gurgi, in the books, feels more like an orangutan or gorilla type character (to me) and Eilonwy's still a princess, but she's only half-human. Her father is what was known as the Sea-King. Her mother was from a long line of sorceresses, called the Royal House of Llyr. Now, Fflewddur Fflam, the rather bumbling old bard, in the book was a much younger and spry man with a hair full of yellow hair that looked like the rays of the sun. Turns out he was a king of a northern kingdom who wanted to give up that life to be a bard. Seems he wasn't good at being either. Dallben in the books looked more like Gandalf or Dumbledore, and there was another man living with him and Taran at Caer Dallben who was a blacksmith named Coll, a bald man who actually was a hero and his claim to fame was that he saved the oracular pig Hen-Wen from Annuvin, the book's Mordor if you will, where she was being held captive by the Horned King and the Dark Lord Arawn, king of Annuvin. In the movie, the Horned King and Arawn were mashed together into one character. The Black Cauldron didn't show up until the second book. Neither did those three hags, Ordu, Orwen, and Orgoch.

Although it isn't a Disney movie Disney now owns the property since they acquired Fox, and I think that Anastasia could use a remake. The original is good but it has some questionable decisions, like the bat character and the jarring editing. It would very much be an adult focused film, but it would be great for actual live-action since most of the characters are human and the movie takes place in a human environment, the city, the train, the wilderness, the boat, all very much doable without CGI though it would probably be needed to give that 1920s/1930s look to buildings and whatnot. And I can only imagine who would play Rasputin, who easily has one of the best villain songs in all of animation history.

I'd totally be down for a revisitation of The Black Cauldron. The original 1985 movie was just a hodge-podge of the five Prydain books, not focusing on barely anything coherent, yet had decent animation and a terrifying villain, although very flat. For this live-action pick, I'd have three conditions to be somewhat good: _ bring back Tim Burton as the artistic director _ if a movie isn't enough to cover the lore of Prydain, then fine, make it a series _ that one's a little extra, but have all the non-human characters done in stop-motion with Laika Studio at the animation part.

There are some remakes that have already been made that I think should be remade again and given a different treatment. We should get either an animated or live action interpretation of the book As Old As Time, which is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast following the twist of Belle's mother being the enchantress. They do a lot of interesting stuff with it. It has a few problems, but it's my favorite version of the story. The Lion King is one that I think a few main changes should be made, then maybe you could shift the mood and other plot points around these changes. A few minor points being that I think Mufasa should stay angry at Simba for at least the rest of the night after saving him from the hyenas, I think they should change the Hakuna Matatta song to sing about Timon's past instead of Pumba's, Nala attacking Simba should end with her about to kill him and only stopping when she hears Timon and Pumba call out his name. Then she would run off in shock and shame while they healed him and slowly come back to try to talk to him, where they would reconnect and they would learn about how their lives have changed. Following from that point, skip Can You Feel the Love Tonight. When Timon says "Whatever she has to say, she can say in front of us, right Simba?" Have him agree and tell her they're trustworthy. Make her spill Scar's wrongdoings in front of everyone. I also think their argument could touch on a few points. Also, something you pointed out when watching Nostalgia Critic review the original Lion King, have the hyenas physically block the lions from helping Simba when he's being backed off the edge of Pride Rock instead of them standing around watching. I also think it might be an interesting change to have it so Scar views the hyenas as his real family instead of the lions. Maybe he finds more comfort in him, maybe they genuinely grow to like him and he genuinely grows to like them in turn, but he's also so full of himself that when he becomes king, it starts to slip and he's more inclined to throw them under the bus in the climax. Also, maybe have them show the effects of Simba's lifestyle on his body. He's happy and carefree, but his body is no longer as capable of hunting or fighting as it should be. He's been living the equivalent life of a zoo lion as opposed to a free lion. Hence why he loses to Nala and why he's on even footing with Scar, who admits he's significantly weaker than Mufasa. These are just some minor ideas that, put together and fleshed out more, I think could be a good start to making an interesting remake.

i mostly just agree on the book As Old As Time stuff you said. that book's better than the live-action remake.

Warning long comment ahead, got too invested in this reaction lol I agree a lot with your points on the "live action" stuff. When it comes to Emma Watson in Beauty and the Beast, I have my own view on it. The CGI Beast wasn't bad, I enjoyed his own song, his style and look. For me Emma Watson was not the best singer. The first song that is usually where Belle is introduced, that is my favorite and I am super particular on how someone sings it. Emma, though she can hold a note and does better in later songs, could not handle the song. The rest of the cast did wonderfully, she sort of felt flat and weak in her singing. Someone with stage experience would be good to do that song. She should of trained with that a bit to express herself more. As for her reacting to the CGI Beast, it could of been better but if it wasn't for the singing I would be fine with it. I agree with Nic on A Goofy Movie, I feel its perfect on its own. Now a new movie with similar style based on modern times would be awesome. Nolan's idea with something real being there for CGI to be put on top should exist for everything. Best idea. Atlantis I full on agree, though I enjoyed the "surprise" bad guy. It would make sense someone would want to steal from the people their power source to make money. That is real world with how many bad people are out there. Plus his glow before he died was super cool. I also agree for Princess and the Frog, though I am completely fine with Tiana turning into a frog herself. For me that meant she was forced to slow down and relax/take a break. Realize the other stuff is just as important. It was a good lesson. Besides that I completely agree. Also agree on Brave, and sorry Nic, I have hair very similar to Merida. Mine is more a mix of Merida and Moana. Which is why I keep it no longer then shoulder length lol. I need to watch Black Cauldron/read the books lol And YES, I was hoping they chose Hunchback of Notre Dame! One of my favorite Disney movies that I always hoped for a live action remake. I would watch the in disney play so much and love the interaction with the audience. I still prefer the animated ending over book, but hey if they make it good then yay!

I do like the 1996 live action 101 Dalmatians sure it’s basically just home alone with dogs but at least there’s effort with it and it made me laugh my ass off even the sequel in 2000 was pretty good. But the newer ones are just lazy and Pinocchio is just a Robert zemeckis cgi tech demo I’d like to know what happened to Robert zemeckis he made back to the future and who framed Roger rabbit and then he decided to become obsessed with the uncanny valley

Technically, they already have changed the "Three Gay Caballeros" line in the 2017 DuckTales reboot so, sorry, but you're a little late on that idea.

Hey Nate, when are you gonna react to Nostalgia Critic's Animated Titanic Trilogy? Those have been requested for quite a while now.
