Ripley is unconscious the whole time, which allows to better know other characters, old and new ones. Also there's more lore about interstellar politics and further data about xenomorph life form.

I was upset that they killed Hicks and Newt, cause it makes the events of Aliens null and void. They robbed her of a happy ending, not that this franchise is all sunshine and rainbows, but it knew how to be dark and grim, but with a light at the end of the tunnel. Much like how Don Bluth sees stories for kid. I don't have the quote exactly, but it's a fair take on story telling.

Btw, to answer some questions; ripleys takes longer than normal to burst out because it's a queen and she was impregnated while in cryo sleep and the dog alien bursts and grows so fast because it came from a dog. Xenomorphs take traits of the creature it comes from and dogs mature much much much faster than humans so it makes sense for this to also be the case for a xenomorph that comes from a dog.

It's explained in supplementary material but the reason why the runner was bigger than normal is because in the assembly cut it burst from an ox instead of a dog, a bigger animal means bigger chestburster, and the reason Ripley's buster took longer to burst is because it was a queen from the get go so it needed more time to develop.

I'm sure you all may have heard of it or haven't yet?.... I highly recommend it, and as you were saying earlier, yes, Alien 3 wanted to focus on both characters Hicks and Newt. Sure enough this comic novel surely did, and after reading it, to which I hope maybe it can be adapted to a movie, either Netflix or Disney +?? Say what you will about Covenant, but there are two things that put it above 3 in my mind: Michael Fassbender does an amazing job twice over and Covenant is a much more competently made movie than 3 could hope to be.

Covenant isn't even a bad film. Just a mediocre one. 3 is awful, Resurrection is awful. Covenant is just average and dull. But NC has a real hate boner for everything Ridley Scott has done since 2000 so he thinks Prometheus (Which is actually a pretty good film) and Covenant are somehow worse than this POS.

HOLY SHIT! I cracked the code of the 3 being small, this is amazing! Okay, so, instead of the 3 being the number 3, it is instead 3 as in to the third power. Alien is a number. And if the first movie had one alien, that means it’s taking the number of the aliens the film into account makes it so it’s alien to the third power. If you see Alien as 1, it means Alien x Alien x Alien, but if Alien is one which always equals itself, then the answer is one Alien like in the film! Ladies and gentlemen...I just cracked the title of the century for you all!

55:19 Plus also the first sinister was not just a good horror movie but also a good psychological thriller unlike the sequel where they just decided to pretty much to go full children of the corn. The snuff films in the sequel were good but I feel like they could have put those in a better movie cause sinister 2 was just not a stupid movie but not a good one; with that said for me personally when it comes to horror movies I pretty just say fuck sequels with some sequels like it chapter two and a couple of sequels to john carpenters Halloween (Halloween 2 1981, Halloween 3 season of the witch, H20: Halloween 20 years later, and last years Halloween 2018 which was co written by Danny McBride who surprisingly traded up franchises) and some sequels just being okay like a few to nightmare on elm street. As for remakes well its probably best for some remakes of horror films to just go in with the mind set of not going to be as good as the original. This is just my opinion so i respect anyone who loves some of the campy sequels to films like Halloween, nightmare, etc., or who even like sinister 2.

The movie can't logically be considered canon to the first 2 Aliens movies for 2 simple reasons: there was NO point in Aliens when the Queen would've thought to lay 2 eggs in the ship, or even been able to because she left her egg-laying sack back on the planet, nor would Ripley, after everything they'd been through, have NOT noticed an egg before going into stasis. She's the kind of person who would've done a once over of the ship and if there WERE 2 eggs, she would've found them and jettisoned them out into space before they could hatch. This movie is more a what if Universe, where the ending of the previous movie is different

Hear me out before you slaughter me. Aliens Colonial Marines, patched by fans is not a very good, but also not very bad game. Vanilla it sucks ass, but modded, it is playable. And kinda enjoyable. Also, the Aliens vs Predator games are pretty nice, the third one has a special place in my heart for.....reasons. Then there are Aliens Dark Descent and Fireteam Elite. Both good games. And Alien Isolation i did not played, but a few Let's Plays damaged my heart enough already, so it is a good game too.
