I disliked this fight solely because the matchup was rather shallow and unbalanced. They both kill zombies, might as well have Tallahassee from Zombieland in the mix too. We should have gotten Frank West vs Ash Williams to work the whole "survivor of horror situation turned utter badass" angle and Leon vs someone like Big Boss to work the "government agent sent up against batshit crazy odds" angle. Those would have been relatively fair fights as well.

Blame the users on ScrewAttack's website. They're the ones who submit and vote on match-ups they want to see. ScrewAttack simply researches and animates the ones with the highest votes. It's quite obvious that the users base match-ups on very general and/or shallow similarities and more than likely already have a favorite they want to win, so more than likely know little to nothing about the opponent or probably not even as much about their favorite as they like to think they do. With few exceptions, almost every DEATH BATTLE! match-up has ended with a complete stomp for the winner once the details are shown.

I definitely would've preferred Frank vs Ash as well, but unfortunately the Dead Rising vs Resident Evil requests were more overpowering. At the very least, it's more fresh watching Frank fight Leon rather than Christ given how Frank and Leon have never been in the same game before.

The gameplay on 6 wasn't bad or even terrible since I still see people playing 6. It's not the game play people just have a weird problem with the action movie concept it had where I don't know what people want given it's bio terrorism not night of the living dead. 7 did good but it wasn't good enough to be replayable more than twice and that's it. Too short compared to the others and didn't feel as big as it could have been.

Freddy Gutierrez I agree the gameplay of 6 was awesome and it made since for the EXPERIENCED MILITARY TRAINED SOLDIERS that have been fighting off bioterrorism for YEARS. I mean seriously people need to get over how “not RE-like” it was and credit it as a good game on its own.

What people seem to refuse to see is that Resident Evil has been becoming "action-ized" since RE2, while RE5 and 6 simply built off of the things that people seemed to endlessly praise about RE4, so for those who call 6 one of the worst RE games, they have nothing to blame except RE4 and its praise. Not to mention that it's not exactly surprising that RE6 went the way it did due to how the game's story went, especially RE4's. RE1-3, CVX, and 7 had the luxury of being far more isolated incidents, which could add to the "horror", but with RE5 and 6, you had the entire world now involved, so it's no surprise that there would be specialized military units made to go up against B.O.W.s. And have people forgotten that B.O.W.s like the military Ganado / Majini, J'avo, and Ustonak are exactly the type of B.O.W.s that Umbrella was aiming for in the first place? Strong, tough, fast, intelligent, but controllable. Stuff like the zombies and other things were really just failed attempts and/or freak accidents going along that path that also had some semi-successes with things like the Tyrant, Mr. X, Nemesis, and T.A.L.O.S. I also find myself replaying RE6 more than most other RE games.

Hey renegades, I have a quick question? What is your view on Resident evil 5? I know a lot of people hate it, but I enjoyed playing resident evil 5 despite the A.i. and I think it is good to end the wesker era of kind of villians and overall enjoyed it.

For me, my only real problems with RE5 was... 1.) Aside from the Reapers and Uroboros specific bosses, everything was just Las Plagas again, literally Type 2 and Type 3. A lot of the creatures just felt recycled from RE4 with slight aesthetic differences, like Irving's mutated form, Ndesu, etc. Only Popokarimu (the half bat, half bug sub-bosses) and U-8 (the crab) felt new. 2.) We don't get any real insight or knowledge about Uroboros itself (even after Revelations 2). They go on and on about "worthiness through DNA" and such, but never do we see a truly successful mutation of it. Even Wesker himself didn't seem like the intended result, but more like Uroboros was being held back from completely overtaking him like it did others due to his own virus-enhanced power.

And I do agree the entire, worthiness uroboros was mysterious, but, when you look at it, you can see its incomplete, and when you see this, you can think of what it can lead to though on what it could be like for other creatures besides humans or dogs.

I liked the co op aspect of RE5 when I played it with my brother. We both got hooked onto mercenary mode and you can’t beat punching a boulder. That’s the best moment in the entire RE series 😛

Ben, Most of the Death Battles this seadon were handpicked fan requests due to the fact that the guys at Screw Attack kept getting requests to do certain ones (like this one and the Crash vs Spyro one, both are confirmed to have been fan requests during the Death Battle Cast), so the fault lies entirely on the fans for creating lopsided battles such as this one. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Darth Vader vs Doctor Doom was also a fan request, that one was HEAVILY HEAVILY lopsided in favor of Doom. He should have fought someone like Gilgamesh rather than Vader.

They have confirmed o their podcast this season that about 95% of the battles come from the top 10% of fan requests. And sometimes fights are so one-sided because they look initially at the characters to see how fair it is. they thought Leon had the advantage but wouldn't have a huge gap. The when they research sometimes that gap get bigger. Another good example would be Kirby vs Maijin, which originally was Kirby vs Ditto. The gap between Kirby and Ditto was so big they decided to switch Ditto out. This is the only time of them doing this that we know of.

I would like to propose a reaction to one of two videos made by the french comic web-collective Golden Moustache (don't worry, it's available with subtitles in English and really simple to follow). For the little story, almost all comedians present in those videos came to be thanks to youtube and then decided to join forces to create a super-team where they could put their ressources together: as authors, camera/sound crews, actors,... Each one taking the role of director at a time. It is mainly a comedy collective, but sometimes they can also talk about more heavy subjets in their creations, like really touching pieces about mourning or solitude. Now, those videos aren't really brand new, I admit. They are both five years old, but had their little buzz in the french community at the time, 15 and 12 millions views respectively. In addition, I thought it could be an interesting and accessible way for you to discover foreign talents, have a great moment, and maybe have an alternative when you all are tired of the ever same cycles of HISHE, trailer reaction, Honest trailer, EWW, SovietWomble, etc... - Suricate - Sex in Video Games by Golden Moustache (as the label says...) (a bit racy in the dialogues but not R-rated, I promise). - Suricate - The Superheroes Hangover (what if Marvel and DC heroes gathered all together for a party and woke up like in Very Bad Trip).
