With regards to the battle in Rebels between Maul and Obi-wan I completely disagree. It was basically perfect. It was effectively a great homage to western gunslinger duels and Kurosawa samurai films, as well as showing the mental battle between 2 great combatants in a few careful shots. Basically, it was a battle of both characters and history and honestly I think worked perfectly.

Mandalorian weapons are designed specifically for killing them. His armour is lightsaber resistant and he's also a clone, which were bred specifically for killing Jedi. Plus, that's down to the Jedi's individual merit, and they hold back a LOT

Kakashi should've honestly been successful with the Kamui. I don't buy into that argument that jedi are that op. In the Clone Wars, lots of them got killed off very easily by bounty hunters with no special abilities. Yes, some like Yoda or Obi Wan can utilize the Force to a super high scale, but the thing is, the Hidden Leaf has encountered something similar before. Rinnegan Jutsu like the Almighty Push, Planetary Devastation, Universal Pull, etc I think are a little comparable to some big scale feats from when the Force is used by a really experienced Jedi. But when comparing it to the full power of Naruto, you have to disregard some dumb things that they say about Chakra. Naruto is at a level where his Chakra regenerates, so a limit with him isn't really definitive, because the thing is, he is also kind of the chosen one in his world. He is the reincarnation of a literal god, and is just granted so many buffs by the end of Shippuden (it's a little sad).

Planetary devastation isn't actually a planet buster. It just makes a spherical meteor, tiny planetoid for busting. And you missed the entire point of what they said about Chakra, it doesn't work pike the force at ALL so it can't copy it. Also, kakashi isn't a reincarnated god with regenerating chakra, so that's not relevant. Also, I'm pretty sure that's not how the tailed beasts work And the clones were all bred specifically to bypass their precognition, that's they they had to spend so long becoming trusted.

You're assuming a bunch of stupid things, and are putting words in my mouth... I never claimed that Rinnegan Jutsu were planet busting, however, if the user really wanted to, they could probably destroy an entire world, but not in a one-shot move or anything, it would take time. Planetary Devastation is described as a force of powerful attraction that pulls in all things around it. It's power has been used similarly to pull small objects back like swords into the user's hand. Hell, the sub name of the Almighty Push literally means "Heavenly Subjugation of the Omnipresent God", it can even dispel eternal flames. These Jutsu are characterized by essentially using telekinesis, much like the Force. Also, no lone Jedi is a planet buster with the Force, give me legit evidence of a case where one Jedi destroyed or even moved something that scales to a whole-ass planet. Go and research, you'll turn up with nothing. Now in Kakashi's case, Obi-Wan should not have the speed that he was granted. Star Wars Legends is NOT canon, it has been confirmed, and irrefutable. That is why Kamui should have been successful. Either way, Kakashi's Sharingan could of analyzed Kenobi's swordplay, which means that in a close range battle, Kakashi would very easily win, which makes Obi-Wan's victory be completely dependant on the Force, which is similar to what Kakashi has encountered in the past with Pain. None of these things were ever considered by DB

You are also ignoring that the original brought up pain, inculding that kakashi LOST to pain, so why should he do any better here? He doesn't have any counters to telekinesis.

@@danielwilson8604 I'll say it again, Legends is confirmed to be NOT canon... Any feats from there should not have been considered, period. Force Storms are from Legends, in case you didn't know. And Palpatine is not even a Jedi, he is a Sithlord. And DB does not research enough on some battles, and they mess up what the interactions would be like. Take Ben 10 vs Green Lantern- that one was debunked, and not even DB could respond to the arguments made in their Q&A. The Sharingan can copy moves for a reason, and that is because it also includes the ability to perceive and predict movements. There is absolutely no way Kenobi scales up to Kakashi in speed- he has not demonstrated ANYTHING like that in the movies or series like the Clone Wars, and has only been compared to the rumored feats of certain Jedi.

It's an official canon with and official timeline that is still being added to. It's not the main canon, but it's a Canon. And the green lantern "debunk" was by a man who admits he doesn't know green lantern and got more wrong about him than death battle did against both fighters. He claims Ben is immune to half the things which have taken him down, that all time travellers give of the sotobro effect (despite paradox literally introducing the concept because that he doesn't and this can't be detected like clockwork can, AND time travellers getting the drop on both alien x and clockwork) and insists that Ben should be given the full powers of every member of his alien species ever while complaining that they allegedly used a composite green lantern (despite it being a plot point Hal survived the crisis and the rings having the same powers having ALWAYS been canon while Ben and creator alike admitting he doesn't know everything he can do) and is perfectly willing to insist that the times Ben died totally don't count and he's really immortal. The q@a video was about common questions. Not just one debunk, and Ink tank has yet to suggest a single way Ben can win that green lantern has not survived or is outright immune to. And half his arguments are offscreen deus ex machina

You see I understood this in a different ways. Anakin was someone who Obi-wan trained, they have probably sparred thousands of times. So as I see it, they know each other inside and out, and when you know someone that well, there is always a point in the game where you know you have won and that was the advantage of the high ground for Obi-wan.

This death battle was bullshit. They nerfed kakashi so hard yet mixed and matched both obiwan from legends and canon. Kakashi would have won if they gave him the second sharingarn which would give him the ability to make any part of his body intangible meaning attacks pass right through him as if he wasn't there. And give him a perfect susano which could withstand almost nuke level explosions. screw attacks excuse to not give him it is bullshit. "We didn't give him the second eye Because obito gave it to him, yet we'll let him keep the first even though Obito gave it to him" and you can't say it wouldn't matter because the second sharingan was only temporary because kakashi's original Sharingan was also temporary because obito took that shit back when he went to ninja heaven. And isn't screwattack supposed to put characters against each other when they are at they're prime? Which for kakashi was when he had his duel sharingarn battling kaguya. Also, canon doesn't affect whether or not that character is more powerful: basically any singular mid tier Star Wars Legends character can solo the movie continuity with little to no effort (movie characters might be mountain to country level, Legends characters can range from planetary to multi solar system with high end monsters like Abeloth), Dragonball GT (which is non canon) while weaker than Dragonball Super is definitely above the original Dragonball and Dragonball Z continuity it's supposed to be a sequel to (nerfed base kid Goku is Majin Buu level, without a single transformation), Dragonball Xeno Goku is easily mid multiversal in base and would probably stomp canon Xeno with little difficulty, multiple comic book characters have non canon counterparts that tear apart their canon counterparts, etc.

Yeah, no. Opinion aside, the actual fight in Rebels was perfection. These were trained Jedi and Sith who fought, survived and choose their side. Every blow and attack meant death and like a western or samurai duel: it had to be do fast. Every attack was for the finisher. If you think they were gonna just flip and dodge and do amazing Force powers we've never seen: your clearly not thinking how cool a simple fight is.

Obi-Wan wasn’t there to have a fancy battle with Maul, he was there to protect Luke and Maul was a threat to that. So, he struck with the intent to kill, no movement wasted, every swing with years of training behind it. Maul was weary from wandering the desert and unbalanced due to his anger, and against a calm Jedi master filled with purpose and clarity, what chance did he have? The battle was fought in their minds beforehand, with them changing stances, but once the outcome was determined, it was just a matter of executing it. That fight was perfection.

I once saw a post about how the Force isn't really a binary scale of good and evil so much as it is a pool. The more you give in to the powers of the Force, the more powerful and instinctual you become, but at the same time you go deeper into that pool and risk not being able to come back out. The Sith are the unrestrained deep-end of the Force, whereas the Jedi are just treading water, keeping it tamed. And like Wiz and Boomstick said, Death Battle throws morality out the window, so Obi-wan can tap into that full depth of the Force and basically turn into Attack of the Clones Yoda on crack.

Sir Illuminar The Valient but the thing is genjutsu is different from commons mind manipulation. Plus this Mangekyo Sharingan genjutsu even if you are very aware that what your seeing isn’t real like Kakashi was against Itachi you can’t do anything about it because it affects you’re real life nervous system. That’s why people can die in genjutsu due to the pain your feeling being real.

Poof could only perform his planet level feat at the cost of his life and within the rank of Jedi Masters has exceedingly powerful force abilities (he didn't like lightsaber combat), and Kyp Durron manipulated A single singularity that wasn't fully developed and also he's one of the most talented force users in the EU. Jedi dying to blast shots in this context is the same as saying ninja die to kunai. Durability doesn't intrinsically scale to attack potency.
