That's why I love these guys! They understand all the references in ERB. It's so disappointing when I watch reactions to ERB, and the great punchlines go over their head. And these guys have a great review of them as well. Most reaction channels just say things like "oh this is who I think won, and yeah this was great" and boom it's done. No actual breakdown that lets you know they understood it. Even the people on the ERB channel that bash this particular rap battle calling it the worst one just clearly didn't get it.

I like watching a lot of your reactions more than a lot of the others because i like that you guys actually know a lot of stuff. I mean a lot of the times in ERB there are specific punchlines that are true and based on the character (so you can tell they really do their research). So some good jokes pass through people who dont know the person or dont know enough about the person. So since some reactors dont know the people and dont research even a little before the battle they dont get a lot of good jokes. Its nothing against them but its better when people actually get some of the good lines

first of all, I just want to say a general "thank you" for doing these and being awesome. I just started doing my own ERB reactions, and my favourite reactors - the ones who I count as my inspiration - are you and Jinx. second, on the subject of philosophy, a lot of comedians can be considered our modern philosophers, and while there are probably a few dozen George Carlin quotes I could offer, one of the my favourite life observations comes from Doug Stanhope: "The only true freedom you find is when you realize and come to terms with the fact that you are completely and unapologetically fucked, and then you are free to float around the system" - Doug Stanhope accepting this simple truth has saved me so much stress and disappointment. so many people that end up depressed or stressed the hell out are pursuing a pipe dream because they don't accept that the system is designed to benefit "the one percent" and not the rest of us. but if that's too negative for you, I'll close with a happier spin on it from my favourite rapper, George Watsky: "I'd rather be making the choices I'm proud of than chasing a mountain of money, but if that mountain comes to me I'm climbing it" - from "Strong as an Oak".

I took one philosophy class while attending college. Before it ended, I was empathizing with the Athenians that decided Socrates had to die. The charges were trumped up and contradictory (accusing him of both teaching the belief of no gods but also of worshipping false gods) but he was obnoxious even when he was sentenced to death.
