That glossy top coat looks awesome but in YOUR kitchen, the constant wiping becomes a headache. I have "piano" finished flooring, looks beautiful but I need a person moping it 24-7 because the slightest dust or even footprints show up.

@@nextlevel6663 My sister had high gloss kitchen cabinets fronts, she couldn`t wait to save some money and change them, every fingerprint was visible with just a little sunshine pouring trough the windows, not to mention if you touch anything with greasy fingers and try to avoid that in working kitchen, only if you have showroom kitchen and eat dilevery then maybe. Like you said, it is nice, but in someone else kitchen.

This is so beautiful! We are buying a new home I so want this kind of countertop in my house it is so pretty! I know epoxy is hard too so I wouldn't worry about it getting damaged I love how you explained it and how beautiful it came out. You have to keep rolling the edges ever so often until the product starts to set up so you don't get the drip lines.

That is absolutely beautiful, and I've got three bathroom countertops to resurface in renovating my home during my refinancing, and this might be one of the patterns and colors that I choose. I also want to use some Earth tones, because I'm using a little darker than a medium gray on the walls, with white trim, which will match the countertops, but I've got ceramic tiles that's Earth Tone colors, and I'm not sure it's got any gray or white in it.

Our products are actually certified for industrial grade coatings made for high traffic commercial settings. So theoretically in a residential, or even commercial setting it will last for decades as long as the urethane top coat is re-applied when needed to protect the decorative coating. This is NOT a cheap epoxy paint that you will commonly find at box stores like Home Depot or sherwin Williams. It is a thick 100% solids epoxy coating formulated for high traffic areas and heavy machinery.

Alicia Rice you and me both! I have an oversized coffee table that I built years ago....I never finished it though. I think I’ll paint the bottom half a solid color and the top surface I’ll try this. That way if I mess up I really can just toss it and cut a new top lol!!!

Have you used ply wood as the base for the countertop? What did you bond all the seams and nail holes with? Is it just wood putty. Love the finished look.

We recommend MDF if your building your countertop. Use Bondo to fill all your seams and nail holes and sand smooth.

I love this look the most after watching hundreds of different videos. But my one question is, what do you do to avoid the edges looking drippy. I noticed when you were applying the matte coat that the edge by the right corner looked like it had a white "drippy" appearance. If there is a way to avoid/fix that, i think we will be using your products and dirty pour method... help!!!

I know with painting on canvas we just use our glove hand and run over it I would think you could do the same before it gets too dry, because I know if there is a dry spot epoxy will take the path of least resistance so if you run your gloved hand over it it makes it all smooth. Don’t know if you could do that here but I think you could.

Is there a video on how this can be done on a counter that has an opening for the sink?

If you have the sink, you could put it in and tape it off. That is, if it is a raised sink. If you don't have the sink, put some plastic under the hole to catch the drips, tape off the inside of the hole, where you don't want the epoxy, with painters tape. Wipe it off frequently, and be sure to pull the tape off after it stops dripping, but before it starts to set up hard. I have seen videos on it, but I can't put my finger on them just at this moment. There are several companies out there that offer this type of remodeling, however, I have researched it for a year, and the Leggari seems to have the best product at the best price.
