@@WeDesified can we send a notarized color copy of temporary state ID (original card yet to arrive) for address proof? Since that is the address proof I have for my wife. Or should I also send a utility bill + marriage certificate along with it?

@@foodiegowda5690 Sorry we are not completely sure about this. Our suggestion is to go with utility bill + marriage certificate since they mentioned it in the acceptable documents. Not sure if they would accept the temporary state ID.

Also, send four photographs. And what is meant as notarisation in the form is entirely different from what is meant by notarisation in US. What's done in US is certification, feather certification. The only form that can be notarised is the signature and change of appearance affidavit.

Thanks for the video. I encourage those applying now, or later, to follow through the links to get the updated information. For example, we don't need first five pages and last pages of passport anymore. First and last page is sufficient as per the updated pdf that was uploaded. Also, not a lot of things need to be notarized as-well, I see only the valid visa document needed to be notarized. I only realized it after getting all the items notarized according to the video. Not their fault but something that I realized just now.

I found tough to fill annexures and affidavits , the checklist points to uneditable pdf templates and weird templates. Look at annexure D form link in the reissue passport checklist, its jumbled. You need pdf edit software. Fillable pdfs will be helpful or word templates. Also no instructions which size of paper you need to use for printing application. Minimum you need 5 days to fill , print notary etc.. 1 day is not enough i bet

My passport is expiring in September 2024, so I have started my renewal process, while registering in the "Passport Seva at Indian Embassies and Consulates" Portal. I chose the "Embassy/Consulate" as "USA-Atlanta". I started this process when I was in Nashville/Tennessee. Due to my Job, I moved to New Jersey and I applied for a new Driving License in New Jersey state, so I need to change the location to "USA- New York". So I don't find the option to change the location to "USA- New York" after registering in the portal with "USA-Atlanta". Can you please help me out in changing the location to "USA- New York"???

Thank you for the info!. I had a query regarding the printable address. My current passport has my Indian address on it and I want it to remain the same on the renewed passport. Should I be filling up under printable address as my Indian address and under "Other address" I'll give my US address (Rental)? Also, I didn't find any docs required for the Indian address. It only mentions US address-related docs. Please correct me. Do the forms have to be typed or handwritten like annexure E, Affidavit, etc? I did see the caution for the online form but not the other docs. Since I'll be including both Indian and USA address do I need to include docs for both addresses?

Yes, that is correct. If you are not changing your printable address, you don't have to provide any address proofs for the same. You can either print or hand write. Print is more legible generally.

@@WeDesified Thank you. After printing the application form in "portrait" format the texts are too small (Total 6 Pages). The photo space is too small for the photo to be pasted. Any comments on this?
