At lvl 1 traders you can but the ak100 series handguard that allows to add a forgrip to the gun without any barters. kinda nice and can lower the recoil significantly

One of my favorite early wipe weapons for questing or budget runs is the M1911 pistol. I really like it because the round has some serious punch on targets with no or low tier armour and the ammo is relatively cheap. I always bring the M1911 as soon as I get the stirrup quest. Go for headshots, almost noone is wearing a good helmet early wipe. You have very low strength at the start of a wipe so a light weight gun will increase the amount of loot you can carry without being overweight.

With 5.45 PP and BP being buffed, the AK-74N and even the AKS-74UN from Prapor 2 with the recoil pad, DTK muzzle device (from Skier 2), and a grip/sight are great for people with level 2 traders. M80 out of the RFB isn't really an option at level 2 anymore, unless you spend a ton of cash on the ammo on the flea.

also you should mention that you can craft the AK-74 relativly cheaply for a wooden handguard + wooden stock and 1 weapon part, which can give you a solid intake of a decent gun early on

One of the strongest lvl 1 barters is the 7 black scav knives for a UMP from Peacekeeper lvl 1. You can buy the knives from fence but this past wipe lots of people have caught on so buy the knives and do your best to catch the barter at reset because it sells out FAST. The lvl 1 ammo you can buy for the ump has around 70 flesh damage and somewhere between 25-29 pen. Really does wonders against lvl 3 armor and youll need to mag dump people in lvl 4 but it can and will work. Hands down the best gun to push pre flea, for attachments i use the foregrip from skier 1 that gives 1% recoil and a few ergo and optic i use the H2 optic with the riser and mount so it clears over the ump frontsight. If you can find any Holo graphics they tend to be better to swap on whenever you can find one in game. Lvl 2 traders you can get access to PP/BP 5.45 and with the buffs it can be pretty decent, AK's still feel underwhelming personally but can be another option that comes with more pen and around the same stats in terms of ergo and recoil. Long range early game can be a struggle, with the push from lvl 2 pk to lvl 3 M80 weapons arent as great, i used to love using the SR-80 with cheap attachments and whatever muzzle was the cheapest and most effective. But now ive kinda started looking at running loud SVD's with 10 rounders and PSO's for budget options.

for modding the bear starting weapons u can also get an ak-100 series handguard from lvl1 prapor to allow a flashlight and a foregrip, although none of the early foregrips are that good

This has to be my luckiest wipe to date, GPU fried on wipe day but im level 15 after 2 days i got blessed with like 4 gasans a gpu and i found 2 flash drives in one stash. killed a level 40 yesterday and got my first nvg 2nd day playing. it took me at least a month to find nvgs last wipe.

It might have changed but for ak and pp19 Prapor sells a handgaurd that can have a laser and grip, u can also buy a bastion from skier if you want a different sight on your ak
