Seeing this sweet man tear up after being asked when he will tour shatters my heart in pieces. I wish people understood how much he has struggled with health and could understand how hard touring is on a super healthy person much less someone struggling with a chronic illness. Please don’t push. He gives us what he can , which frankly is a ton more than most !!!Just be happy when we get lucky to hear new music or to see an instagram update or the occasional twitch he does. Ren, you are amazing and I really appreciated your time yesterday.. this twitch stream was fun and I hope you continue improving and feeling better. Your new song is amazing and I look forward to this new album❤❤❤

I don't know if I've ever seen an artist's community authentically care about an artist like Rens community. It's really beautiful to see. Ren I would travel just about anywhere in the world to see you perform live, but focus on your health. I think everyone here would agree that even if you never make another song, the world is a better place just knowing you're in it. God this is an annoying comment lol but I do believe it's the truth.

Not annoying at all. What WAS annoying was this feeling I had been trying to express, and you said it perfectly. Of course I would be thrilled about news of a tour, and of course I would travel however far to see him. Of course I want more songs. But I’d give it all up, just knowing he is in this world is enough for me. You said it better, and reading your comment was very much like having that itch scratched. THIS, what you said so humbly is the level of love I have for this artist, this avatar of hope. So thank you for expressing it.

I have to say, I am completely captivated by Ren. To me, he is one of the most authentic, creative, giving, and inspirational people I’ve ever known. Ren speaks truth to power with courage and honesty, advocating for peace and love in every way he can. What makes him even more incredible is his strength and resilience despite facing constant health challenges that many would find overwhelming. Ren truly feels like a Godsend-a genuine gift to humanity. I admire and love him deeply, in a brotherly kind of way (no... not that kind of way, LOL). Thank you, Ren-you are a rock-solid man and an absolute blessing to all who know you. and thank you for sharing your journey with all of us.

I have arranged so the one day a week I have off is Thursday, just in case you return to Thursday webcasts/releases. So very grateful for the times like these that you share. Find your 'genuine'ness remarkable and the ease of listening to you soul cleansing. Doesn't matter that you'll never see this, just important that I said it. He is utterly adorable! Hilarious, gentle, brilliant, fierce, tender and masterful. What an enigma our Ren is! His utter joy at the "Naw mate, Tis Trackie's, Tis Denim" aka the comfort bamboozle of the century! 😂😂 I was dying 😂. "Feel my leg!" 😂😂 P. S. I have never heard the term "Trackies" before but there will be no stopping me now. It is my time to shine! Ren thinks Trackies are cool, so kiss my fat ass world! On a side note.... When Ren allows us inside and we see the vulnerability- it..... It just goves us all permission to just say "I'm not okay." And it is so freeing to do so. Having REAL conversation instead of puffery is beautiful. As he said, i am constantly inundated with non-stop bickering over everything! It eats at me and my jovial nature. I am normally a halpy person who just finds in almost any place. But man. The last 2 years 1 thing after another... Wham... Wham.... Wham. And when life wrecks me od often fond joy in hanging with the humans. O could go anywhere that other humans congregate and id forget whatever was weighing on my soul.... But the last 2 years it feels like.... Loke someone sucked all the silloness and giddiness from the room.... But it is EVERY SINGLE ROOM. O thiught it was me. My depression, my grief, my sadness that infected everyone else but even tv, youtube, facebook, tiktok.... The positivity Vampires had left a barren wasteland filled with nothing but hatred, bullying, righteousness and the need to just "take others down". The most positive video would be full of the craziest and hateful comments. There was nothing safe. It tore me down. When dod people get so mean? Were people always this mean? I don't think so. At one time, people used to say something positive before the critique.... pfft.....not these days. Everyones a critic anymore. That is one things o doslike about social media. People have gotten mean online and that 'disease' now bleeds into their real lives. I refuse. I refuse to allow these miserable people to take anymore of my tomorrows. I gave them far too many of my yesterdays. Even if i HATE a clip or a reel, i refuse to give way to the bitterness that lurks on the back of my tongue... That ugliness that just wants to be visceral..... but.. I dont. Not today. If o have to manifest a brighter tomorrow myself, it shall be. Because these bitter and gray days have to go away, man. If o e cant see or cant understand how UGLY the world has become then.... we are not sharing the same planet. That is why i gravitate here...... Even when REN is hurting inside-his default is positivity, joy, appreciate and just love. i have never been a Stan. I used to think it wass corny as hell. But I am a Renegade through and through and I am proud of it. Seeing the positivity, acceptance and love the fans send back to Ren-gives me such hope for tomorrow. I find my pockets of joy where i can. Watching people on KZbin find Ren for the 1st time..... Tickles me to no end. Seing the Reactioner's find Falling In Reverse.... Or some of my old faves like Pantera, Master P., Simon and Garfunkel, Cher, Tina Turner, Stevie Knicks, Janis Joplin....80s faves like Madonna, New Kids on the Block... I get the biggest kick out of it. I tell you the Reaction community on KZbin may just be the salvation we need. It gives me the greatest happiness!! So many rays of sunshine- Knox Hill, Teddy Grey, jk bros, Vibe Reactions. Seeing people being kind makes me want to follow suit. If Ren sees nothing else let it be this-thank you so much for being a beacon for those of us lost in the gray fog. You were what my soul needed, when it needed it most. I hope to goodness you feel our love every bit as much as we feel yours. Strangers are friends here. THANK YOU for being a genuine person... For it gives all of us permission to show our genuine-ness to others.....we dont shroud ourselves in vulnerability or fear of being different because here, in this place, we all feel welcome, we all feel included and we all feel accepted. Thank you for creating this beautifully safe space.

Oh Ren, you don't have to apologize for being upset at not being able to fulfill one of your dreams. You got dealt a shit hand (healthwise), and it's okay to take a moment when you get a reminder. Several, even. If it means anything, I prefer how you're doing things. I get anxious in crowds so having the "best seat in the house" as I watch your art is lovely. It feels almost like a meet and greet backstage during these "chats", except you don't get rushed along for the next person and get the answers to a lot of your questions. You're the talent of a lifetime already Ren, and having you around is more than some of us deserve. Get lots of rest and take care of yourself first.

This twitch session was described to me by another Patreon as being “beautifully emotional,” and she was right. Although I would add heartbreaking. When you started to cry because you were facing the possibility of not touring or performing live, I could see how much you love and miss it. I wish for you all that you desire, and short of that, peace. And ffs, stop apologizing when you cry. You’re human. Shit hurts, we cry. Love you Great One. 😪

People ask what genre is Ren’s music. I say Ren IS music. As soon as he touches any instrument they become one. Every emotion forms a note or chord that runs through his body and comes out of the instrument like a speaker. When he sings words are not simply words they are an emotion, a thought,a feeling in a sound that emanates from him in a frequency that goes straight to the heart.

37:00 I applaud you sir. I am a proud Union member in California. We collectively bargain for safe working conditions, family sustaining wages, great benefits, a chance to retire with dignity after a successful career, and most importantly we get to be part of something bigger than ourselves. We call each other brother and sister, and we mean it. We look out for one another and our families on and off the clock. We swear an oath until death, and we give freely what was freely given to us. Our traditions and skills are passed along through the generations, and our retirees are celebrated for their contributions and sacrifices. There is enough pie for everyone to get a decent slice. I believe the hive mind mentality is a key for sustainable success and for humanity to truly thrive. You are wise beyond your years Brother Ren, and so very eloquent in your articulation of some extremely important topics. Hope you feel better soon buddy.

I loved this post. My dad was a union man. He taught me a lot growing up. The dignity of work. Fighting for better money. Overtime. Family benefits, insurance. Pensions. I do like the idea of The Hive. I am also a union person. I am a nurse. I hold the principles of his teachings close to my heart. He went on to run a massive company in the USA( we grew up in Britain). He was VP of the American head company. The company was a European company. He wrote in Engineering Journals. He never lost his union beliefs.

Ren, your music has affected me in so many ways. My wife and I share you with everyone we can, and all of them get something positive out of it. Your following has grown so much since I first found you nearly two years ago. I'm so happy for your success. So hearing your thoughts on capitalism and hearing what I've said for 30 years come back to me has given me hope that maybe we can turn this mess around. You have a much better way of explaining this than I ever will, and you have an audience I could never reach. Thank you being a voice of reason and intelligence. I hate that you have to struggle so much with your health. Just know that the Renegades love you, and we are here for you, because you are here for us. You are the voice we need for so many things. I'm not one for following celebrity, or feeling like that makes someone special, but you sir, are truly a special person. I won’t go through the list of what I have because everybody has stuff. But my favorite thing that has happened in this entire two hour and 46 minute stream is when you said I’m not afraid of death. I’m afraid of suffering and not knowing how long I’ll have to suffer. I also got tattoos and didn’t move an inch people were surprised. But I’m currently in trauma therapy trying to resolve my issues with being sick and having pain because that’s the only time I panic is when I start to not feel good when I can feel flare coming. I’ve gone through a lot of shit even cancer. And this is worse so much worse. And the fact that you know I had cancer I knew it was gonna end one way or another. I was hoping to live and I did, but if I didn’t, at least I knew it would end. This chronic bullshit scares the hell out of you. So once again, thanks for everything you do you’re amazing. I felt so alone until I found your music and I found the renegades. And I realize now I am not alone so thanks.

100% I think there's "religious" & there's spiritual. Spiritual is who you are & is present in every aspect of your life, w/out needing a god or higher power to answer to, or create the desire to be "better" than the average heathen. :) speaking for myself as the average heathen 🌺

From someone who is a believer. I feel I am not “religious.” I, more importantly, have a relationship with my God. Knowing full well I’m the worst of the worst and the only good I have in me is because of God. I feel “religion” can cause non believers a lot of confusion and hurt. It’s not easy being a Christ follower and we definitely do not always get it right, but I pray I never cause anyone to walk away from me feeling anything but loved. ❤

We really do need to build better systems. As someone who is deeply concerned about the direction of politics in the world, especially here in the US, I also wonder if this will be the catalyst to force us to do better. If things get truly horrific, we will have to rely on and help each other regardless of ideology. Thank you for being in the world. You make it a better place

Ren is honestly the most beautiful, compassionate, sincere, kind person I've ever came across ❤ the love I have for this man makes me wanna just wrap him into a hug and let him know how amazing he is. He's saved my life so many times and I feel genuinely grateful I'm alive during the time of Ren.

Aww Ren, so sorry you dont have the energy to tour. I have recently driven myself into a big ME/CFS crash so I sympathise. However I'm in my late 60's so its heartbreaking to see someone so young suffering xx

Ren, thank you for your words. I'm sure soul told you someone on the planet needed to hear them. I happened to one in 15K that needed them today. My heart has had such anger and disappointment in the last two weeks. It's because of your words in 2023 that I started to make peace with family and friends over politics. It's felt like all that progress was undone, so I really needed to hear that today. Thank you for encouragement for all of us to enter each day with love and understanding. Especially with people who don't think the same way as us. I pray that your body will heal, and with that, your mind will have some peace, my dude.

I much rather be here with you talking with us than going to a concert . I’ve been watching your streams for over a year now & feel so lucky when you break out the guitar & have a jam session . So special to have your favorite artist engage this way. It feels one on one rather than being 1 among thousands at a crowded concert ❤❤❤❤

Ren, it was so good to hear you talk about future projects and collaborations. The sparkle in your eyes....! Ren and Henning from Annenmaykantereit on one stage, that would be music heaven for me. You both manage to make me feel and release emotions that are hidden. Besides, I'm sure you'd get on well with each other. He seems just as authentic to me as you are and you can also hear both pain and joy in his voice.

So glad to see you up and around! Loved the song. Do something to bring yourself joy - if you're back in Canada, get a busking license and have it just in case. If you're having a good day, grab a wheelbarrow of equipment and hit the streets. If you're in the U.K., pop into a friend's show and do a guest spot. The Darkness is touring the U.K. and I'm sure Justin would throw you on stage for a song or two without notice. Hell, walk into a karaoke bar and do a Chinchilla cover - Ren does "Little Girl Gone" 😉

Thank you so much for sharing so much of yourself. You have made me want to be more open in my life and it's made all the difference. Besides the PTSD, people with chronic illness often carry around so much grief about what they imagine their life could have or should have been. You learn to adjust but I don't think that grief ever goes away. Although I'd love to see you live, I'd rather you have a better quality of life and appreciate all that you still share and give to your fans from just a little further away!. BTW, I was totally not prepared for this song and everything about it blew me away!

I just came across this artist after going on reddit and asking for music recommendations that would make me sob to no end and make me feel like somebody is ripping my intestines out while being fully awake and conscious and somebody recommended Ren's 'how to be me' with chinchilla (specifically left the link for the live version) and I've been sobbing since. And hearing him talk about his music and getting emotional about not being able to do certain things, you can just tell he puts all his love in his works. It's been 4 days since I made that post, and I've just been devouring all his content because how on earth i haven't heard of him before?!!?

Thank you for your generosity of time on Twitch with us and all the layers of realness shared. We love you Ren, even if you become a pirate. 😅❤ Thank you for also posting here for more inclusion with the wider RENegades community. PS. While I don't navigate chronic physical pain, I do navigate chronic mental/emotional acute depression/debilitating self-doubt and anxiety. When an episode returns it absolutely csn crush one's spirit. And as Narrative Therapist I've witnessed others feel hopeless too. PTSD is real in this realm, too. I can only imagine how amplified the suffering is with chronic physical pain.🙏 Sending the gentlest of hugs, heaps of gratitude, and hopes that you continue to recover so you can create your art because that's a key to your survival. ❤

That initial Slaughter house beat is one of the dopest hardest coldest beats in the world that ive EVER heard! Lol. But every beat in the song including the other sounds/instruments are AMAZING including the reggae section! 🙌 Thank you for it all! Released on a day I was struggling bad.(Lyme & Babesia Duncani here) and that with QB Julian Lewis committed to the University of Colorado in Boulder CO was truly two spectacular gifts to get on such a rough day so thanks for brightening my day/my life and continuing to give me hope along the way like you brought up in "Troubles"! Been praying for ya! You seem good (although i know looks are deceiving). Happg the lord blessed you with enough energy to do this stream giving us an update and some BTS!

It's probably just me but Ren, your music and the Big Push always, without fail, helps me focus when I'm at work (office job that requires like 99% accuracy). My attention span is wrecked and I probably have adhd (not diagnosed but I have many symtoms), but still when I put your music in the background I would always get my focus back, beside improving my mood. Although I only have enough energy to get through work and not much else, at least I'm able to feed myself and is striving to do better. Thank you so much Ren ❤ Also congrats on the rice, maybe you can look up Vietnamese/South East Asian cuisine, we grew up poor so we ate alot of rice + veggies. (Sometimes just hot cooked rice with soy sauce is really comforting for me)

Have you ever thought about doing a concert through screen.. like hosting it in small theaters and selling tickets like a virtual tour? Then you can put the whole concert together through video and people can enjoy the viewing well not putting too much stress on your body and having to travel too much.. ❤ i’d buy a ticket if it was in my area. You could have people pass out a limited amount of signed merch at the viewing.
