Another great bunch of items. I remember when those Pre-war cars were going for $80-$100 or more. $5 for them now? Wow!! I like what ya did with the Pennsylvania cars - they’ll do just fine until you get matching wheels

I think $5 was very cheap. I would expect them to go for at least $20. The Pennsy cars work just fine. For now anyway. Hopefully some wheels will come up at some point.

Nice haul Dave. For a quick fix exchanging the trucks on to the longer passenger came out pretty good!

Another great haul for you, Dave. Was it a 'budget' haul? Only you can judge that. It sounded like you came out on the good side of things again. Hope you can locate the right scale trucks for the Williams passenger cars. That would make it all complete.

Heck Dave, they look good to me. Remember, but for railheads like us, 99% of the people viewing your trains running will see trains running and, in my experience, will be enthralled. The fact that a Pullman Standard six wheel truck is undersized will simply blend into the background and frankly be unnoticed. BDS

I don’t notice it when it’s running, like most imperfections, so I’m not too concerned. I would like the proper wheels though so I can swap these back to the cars I pulled them off of. Maybe I’ll find something at york

@@dagryffynhobby I have generally had very good luck with Williams and K Line wheels. However there is some crazing of the metal on some wheels on K Line cars and some truck side frames on Williams cars and engines.

I wish I could! Other than what i have I really know very little about them. I did a quick google and it wasn’t immediately clear what years they were produced. Hopefully someone else here will be able to provide some insight.

Too bad you "lost" that Southern Mikado set Dave. If it's any consolation there's bound to be another one out there somewhere and your courses are sure to cross eventually. I've "lost" stuff too, but I've never treated it as the end of the world. I'm not trying to "Monday morning quarterback" but what I do at shows is if I see something I KNOW I'm not going to see at the rest of the show I jump on it immediately, the walk-through can wait. That doesn't happen too often though. Good luck on trucks for those cars! I just checked the Bachmann site and forget it, those parts are sold out. There's probably other trucks out there you can "chop n' channel" to make fit. A fun video as always, and if you're going to York best of luck!

I’ll just say that it wasn’t meant to be. If I spent the money on the southern set, I would have missed out on the PRR passenger cars. It’s all about balance. At the moment I’m good with the smaller trucks. I’ll keep an eye out for damaged scale cars and hope I can find some with decent trucks

Dave: You are going to get 6 wheel trucks for your new cars aren’t you? I believe I told you I got some PPR Tuscan red passenger cars without trucks. It took time but I found tucks

I’ll keep an eye out for scale trucks. I have the 6 wheel trucks from the smaller cars and they work. But I do want to get the proper ones

Dave, glad you had a good time at the show. That Southern set was not meant to be. There's one out there somewhere with your name on it. Love the prewar tinplate. You should give serious thought to running a bit more prewar. What day will you be at York? I'm leaving Connecticut tomorrow, spending Thursday @ show and driving home Friday.
