Honest question: why does this sim get so negative reception? I respect the devs for sticking to their roadmap and letting everyone try it for free - I like the transparency here. Also collaboration with one of the best track modders is cool :)

masterpiece, litrally just jumped in to this beautiful racing sim quite recently , and im so happy i did. was getting fed up with other sim titles for various reasons, and excited for ac evo in the near future, but having played this for the last week or so im seriously going to follow this title and well see how ac evo measures up , because im impressed , and will continue the enjoyment of these superb cars and tracks , the ffb was really easy for me to get set up and happy quickly on my moza r5 , the car characteristics and overal feel, physics really took my attention straight away and feels better than everything else i own track related racing, without spending days of tweaking. its very intuitive, and is really hitting the spot for me. and its only 11gb atm .

Day 943 of showing in-engine footage, while AC EVO shows in-game footage and still looks better. In addition to all the other shortcomings of using unreal engine 5 for a (sim-) racing game (No Triple Support, blurry Image/Bad VR, ghosting, Performance/Car limit). The list goes on and on. I was really hyped for a new modern sim, but i just cant see why i would play this instead of iracing, LMU, ACC, AC EVO, AMS2, Raceroom. At this point i think a miracle is needed to get a somewhat healthy playerbase although being f2p already.

I know its using the unreal engine...schocker ACC is using Unreal engine 4 this is using Unreal engine 5... Yes I have tested EVO at the ADAC and it's wicked! But how can you compare a backbone ( also financially ) as Kunos to the ppl at RennSport... Compared to the *cough* almighty Iracing it's really not bad looking at all... Play with the settings and you can make it look how you want...moreover you need to think about a big audience not only the ppl that can afford the newest most expensive graphics card that takes hundreds of euros to upgrade your current system.... It's not perfect but I like it alot

True, the devs do a poor job in showing people why they should choose this game over all the other sims out there where you have the same cars and tracks. Except visuals i see no reason. Also it being free to play, i am not sure its a 'selling' point since i dont know any free to play game except poe where i like spending my time with. Not sure how a sim will work with this business model, again a point where the devs could help clarify the structure of the game. But the problem i guess is that they themselves dont have a plan yet really.

For me as a beginner I like the fact that there is a game that I can grow along side with tbh. I like the graphics so far and the driving. The ghosting is hopefully something they get fixed (maybe you should talk to the incursion red river guys about that) also the VR is in a not so good state and I started out with VR in the first place with AMS2 and AC and its a bit of a bummer to have such weak vr in the game right now - I cant stand the UE optics in VR its a mess. And Im not a big fan of the UE5 Engine either because all the games that came out latley had the same issues (performance). Its a challenging Engine for DEVs and hope they get it sorted out with EPIC but imo its such an overhyped engine. But dont forget for now this is a free Beta (besides the account registration - which is hopefully not sold to thirdparties, didnt read the eula tbh. mistake on my side) and we should not be bitching about all the things all the time - I guess the devs of Rennsport are not blind and know better then most of us what are the issues with their title. I hope they can introduce AI, triples and fix the VR asap and also make car setups available and also shareable (I hate the fact that ppl sell setups for fucking 40 Bucks on other games - thats insane). The work with the modders is very cool and should also be pointed out as something very positive. Thats the way to go. We know that a strong modding community can make the diffrence in the long run. I wish the team all the best and hope they can build and hopefully exist along side all the other strong titles that are out. Sim Racers eat good these days tbh.

The main selling points of this game were good graphics and online competition. After testing the beta I can say graphics are very dissapointing and they know it. That's why it's always in-engine footage in these videos. Online is non existent at the moment and the content is barebones. Physics and handling are good but It's hard to justify investing time in this game right now. If the game looked half as good as these videos, I would give it another try but it's far from that. Even LMU with its old ass engine look ten times better.

I tried your game. Everything was a pain from the menus, settings, to gameplay. FBB felt atrocious and adjusting settings was way too annoying. All in all, plenty of competition out there that fully blows this out of the water. It was not even worth my time to care about tweaking settings until it felt decent.

@@Nukedrop Your tracks just don’t feel anything like a real track. The scenery, the layouts, the walls far too close to tracks. The general aesthetics imo are very distracting and don’t make sense for any real sort of track. Like I said, look at double zero tracks. Those to me are the peak of fictional track design in sims right now

Game has alot of potential. I find ATM it runs so bad , I have a fairly decent powerful official esports gaming pc with 1440p 144hz monitor and the frame rate is bad. Ffb needs alot of work in my opinion. Good point graphics are very good when running good, cars mostly sound very good and car models look great also. The modding aspect for this game could make it.

@RENNSPORT_gg just tried it, it's not great. Force feedback is terrible, doesn't feel good, car feels like it's floating. Car slides are usually not recoverable no matter what, no ai, optimization is awful, looks bad on every setting, car sounds are bad, steering and gears are slightly delayed. Overall, it was not fun and nowhere near the standards of other sim titles. It's like raceroom but with barely any content and worse handling

Better damage model, better graphics, quicker lobbys, better ffb, more natural handling, tracks that are not coming from previous iterations (like ac evo). There's still sectors where sim titles can compete. Unless you're a fanboy then the hope is lost
