The container allows you to live onsite as you renovate the property. Rent would have cost much more and once the house is renovated can either be a guesthouse for friends and family or a B&B to generate income. It was a great investment!

You have come so far this year in the build and breaking through to the kitchen was indeed a very happy occasion. I love how Omar and Simon were so happy that it came out with a clean cut and were just about dancing a jig. Now it will start feeling like a home and not a container all the rooms flowing into each other and what a beautiful job was done through out this project. You are all such a good team and I love how your mom and sister also get stuck in. A lovely family renovation. Wishing you Andrea, Omar, your mom, Simon and your sister and family a very Merry Christmas and a blessed, happy, healthy, prosperous New year for 2024. Thank you for all your hard work on your filming, editing, sharing and taking us along for the ride. Have appreciated it very much and will continue to enjoy the future videos. Have a lovely day.

Little tip or two for next time. Make sure the plugs are soaked in water and fill the hole with water and allow it to drain away, then plant. Also, little and often should be the mantra, otherwise you end up with gluts. Make your own 'plugs' by using old plastic containers lined with kitchen towel to sprout seeds under the kitchen sink before 'potting on' into soil or compost. Old egg boxes are great for sprouted seeds, then pots.

Tip from a pro. Always use a hook knife for vinyl (much easier and more save) .Not a normal one. What you did is verry dangerous and i have seen ppl hurt themselves. With a knife like yours. Also dont use glue on the edges. If you realy want it use double sided tape (risks to get bubbles, they cant go out).The vinyl needs time to flatten out.(walk out). The edges need some space for that too. So cut it 2 mm smaller. And you realy dont need to glue it. Glue also make all tinny things under the vinyl more visable. If you think u need glue. Glue it all ( realy every spot). Or wait a few days and then glue the edges or better use double sided tape. If you use tape you can still fix problems later, with glue you cant. Nice vid. Greetz from a old carpet/ vinyl pro from the Netherlands. Sorry for my crappy English.
@TheIndigoEscape5 ай бұрын
Thank you for your tip! I will check online for a hook knife in case I got some more vinyl to do in the future! I also think spray glue may not be that great! If you have a tip on the right glue, let me know. Your English is fantastic! I love how Dutch people say that often and speak perfect English. We worked in the Netherlands doing tours there.Fantastic people! Never missed eating Poffertjes, what a delicious thing!!

Did you have to have proper drawings for your projects to get building permits or were they not needed because essentially you are doing a renovation?

Yes. You have to have a civil engineer and an architect involved for this kind of renovation. We have both and they sort out the paperwork and submit to the local authorities.
