Got exactly the same van. The best tip I can give you is get one of those "bed in a box" mattresses. You can get it in there easily and open it in situ.

Same as my find. I kept most of the inside. Fridge is used for storage & with Stove gone, portable fridge fits in there. solar panels on roof. Caulking nearly done then painting 😁 all the best.

I had a look at those guys. Looks like the cheapest places to get a new one made. I actually just made my own from scratch. I will have a clip of that on the next progress video

Don't throw the brown plastic strip around the base of the poptop cavity thingy away because we weren't able to source a replacement from it anywhere! Had to paint it and reinstall it

Great advice. I actually did the same thing and painted it and chucked it straight back in. It looks nice once the colour is changed from the brown

We were researching old vans as we have one and came across your utube. We have an 86 model that looks very similar to yours. We have not been able to find out the original weight of the van. By chance do you have that still on the towbar registration plate? We are very interested to have a look at your finished van now.

The Manufacture year is 1984, Tare weight 740 kg, Gross vehicle mass 1000 kg. Please subscribe, I have filled the van and just waiting for a break in my job to get the next video out.
