Hope you get better soon Laura. The comments at the end are 100% needed, to everyone who comments, “we follow them” we don’t own them and tell them what to do! Suggestions are good but saying this is the way is just wrong. We are following their journey not creating it! “Keep the faith” and continue to look after each other.

I think you are already far richer than most people I know. You have cultivated an appreciation of the smaller things and what it takes to achieve goals. Most people never manage it or, if they do, they lose it over time. Hold onto it tight for life and never forget it. Great to see yet more progress on the building infrastructure and, as always, I am looking forward to seeing your future installments.

I love the look of the outside lamp, especially when shown in the same shot as the black window frames. You are both doing a fantastic job with the renovation. The advantage of doing much of the work yourselves is that the 'mistakes' are learning experiences and give you the skills necessary for the general upkeep and maintenance once it's completed.

You are so absolutely correct in deciding that enjoying the process should be a priority. Most of your viewers understand that building up a homestead is a slow, repetitive, and laborious process, and trying to make it exciting and varied all the time will wear you out and spoil the journey for you. We enjoy the two of you as a couple as well as the work you do. I, for one, don't judge your videos by how much work you get done.😊❤❤

Coming right along....Having some electricity will make all the difference in the world. I've been leaning towards a "power station" of some kind too, for my cabin. They're portable, modular, expandable, warrantied, very simple to use and off-grid(handy in all the hurricanes we get here in Florida). All you really need to do is plug in a couple multi-outles power strips and you can plug everything into those and you're all set. You don't even have to "hard-wire" the cabin, but if that is the route you go, some models will allow you to plug the mains electric for the house into the power station, also. Cheers, from FL, USA! P.S. According to the thumbnail, Laura still looks pretty good for being "200 Years Old". Cheers :)

Laura hope you get better soon. Glad you had some one come in for the electrics. Dan and Laura this is your home and we are here for the ride. Each job you do is a learning curve, sometime 2 steps forward and a few more backwards and then all of a sudden it goes forward with a bang. I just love what you do in the name of progress on your farm. My mother in law always used to say to me 'to each their own' and 'advice is free', you do not have to do what one has given as advice. Just look after yourselves and I think you have got so far and I pray and hope you do get to hear soon about your visas. Hugs to you both and have a lovely day. Laura drink Lemon, ginger and honey tea. If you can get yourself some linden tea add lemon and ginger does help colds and coughs. But do not drink it all day.

Another milestone achieved! Well done, guys! My son (22) has just finished uni. I recently asked him what he wants to do with his life after uni and was surprised when he said that, after much thought, he had decided not to pursue a traditional career path at all. He said he wanted to live off grid and build his own tiny house. I couldn't have been prouder! In this day and age, with the world as it is, I'm so glad he's decided to avoid the rat race and consumer culture. Needless to say, I advised him to subscribe to your channel. He's got no DIY skills at all, but you guys are living proof that you can do a lot of your learning on the job!

Hi Laura and Dan, you know the back window 🤷♀️, I was thinking when you have more money. It would be ideal to make an extension on the back of it for two bedrooms and a bathroom. You could then knock through that window and block work as the entrance from the barn Perfick xx

Hello my sweet and blessed friends! I was so happy and surprised to see the electric being installed. I love the outdoor lights. As I was watching I was praying that all that chipping away of stone would go well. Thank the Lord it did. It looks so amazing after you were done. In prayers for both of your health. Laura definitely praying for your healing with your chest cold. Those are not pleasant at all. Your home is getting prettier each time I see it. I have watched so may videos where the creator is showing how much time filming takes up daily. Positioning the camera, getting interesting shots, showing motion and building. I have seen where some folks will not film for a short period of time just so the can get caught up and have more down time. I pray you both give yourself more quiet times, find that balance, and spend time with our Lord. Please remember to take that 7th day for rest and worship. Thank you for another lovely video. Thank you for the smiles and joy. God bless you my sister and brother in Christ! So much love and love in Christ ~John ♥

Sorry to hear 👂 that Laura not feeling very well, hope you feel better soon, if you both are working to much it will take your energy out of you, we all have been there and done it, but you need to set yourself free from all the stress, and have a half a day off or even a day off, so you can rest and recoup your energy, This means not doing anything about work or repairing or restoring you just rest or go off and see countryside, it is very important, Sorry if I’m gambling on a bit, Not sure what you were going to do with your electrics, I did think that you might of put surface mounted conduit on the walls, so it looked rustic, I do like the outside lights, not sure what it is like in your neck or the woods, 😂, but when I was using the caravan to live in whilst I was renovating the property, I had outside lights on the caravan, the only problem was it attracted most kites and hornets, And I still do not put the outside light on over the front door of the mill unless I am going out at night time, I’ve been out there before and I’ve counted anywhere between 10 to 20 Hornets flying around there was a nest about 50 yards away, At some point, it might be worth making up some mosquito tight nets to go over the windows either inside or outside, even something to go over the front door so you can leave it open to bring the fresh air in, stop little critters and come in, It’s definitely taking good shape, I hope all goes well with the residency , not sure if I have spelt that right, look 👀 after yourselves, and Rome wasn’t built in a day, Good luck for the future, From France,

Hey guys! I'm always stoked to check out your new videos. But I was a bit bummed when I realized this one wasn't about the new roof installation. By now, you must be kicking yourselves for not running the wires through the conduits before putting them up in the walls. 😁Making those bends is a total pain in the butt. 😮💨It was so frustrating, I almost lost my cool.😤 Anyway, lesson learned for next time: wires before conduits. I thought you were going to use solar-powered outdoor lights. I have some really great ones with motion sensors that are always "juiced up."👌 Make it happen!💪💪
