I think either one would look great with the beige island, but maybe to narrow it down you could get a sample of the ikea cabinets or take the floor samples to ikea to help your decision.

I'm an interior architecture student and i use milanote so much. Its so helpful. Your house will look amazingggg! Also i think the brass hardwares would look classy in the kitchen!! The flooring options are so good, so difficult to choose from but i think Palmilla would be the best one. What i have seen is that if the flooring has too much textures, it tends to get dirty a lot quicker and gets harder to clean even after mopping several times. Also, the roof situation, you could also opt for a retractable roof which is much more flexible, in my opinion. (I'm sorry i don't comment like this on people's videos at all but i really love ur videos and really want to suggest good things) Hope you get the power to build the home of your dream. Can't wait to meet Haley the builder!

Linen lingoda was my fav. The tone is a perfect inbetween it will look nice is natural and direct sunlight the grain adds character - it would perfect to compliment furniture of any colour and material is a perfect combination of warmth, texture but not overdone

For the flooring, I like palmilla and Bayside bluff! I think that the other ones are a little too yellow or a little too gray, but those two are a happy medium! I personally like Bayside bluff better because it is rustic. I think having rustic floors against a more formal home would make it a little more cozy. For knobs, I personally like a chunky wooden knob in the same color as the cabinets. But I do like the look of black against a darker cream. But if it's going to be more white, then I like a brass!

Just a tip, lay a white sheet down first and then lay down the floor samples. Then you can see them away from the warmth of the existing wood. Will give a more accurate idea. Same goes with paint - paint the wall section pure white first. Also, for the most timeless choices, go for the most natural-looking vinyl (whichever that is) so you don’t end up with the regret that the grey-toned floor people have now that the trends have changed.

IMO, Selborn and Buff resemble a truer wood floor look. I personally love the Buff as I think some grain would add warmth, although not sure how long your planks are?? We just installed luxury vinyl in our home and learned that the more color variation/texture/grain etc., then the longer planks look best (less busy) so we went with 9" W and 70" L for a more rustic/cozy look...however, it also took us three months to decide ! 🤣If you go 4' L then I'd stick with one that isn't too variegated/grainy.... all of your choices look pretty consistent so I don't think you can go wrong! Have fun and thanks for taking us along!!

I got vinyl throughout my cottage, I chose like a light washed oak colour. I really regret it and wish I had gone for the wooden floors instead! Nothing beats wood, the vinyl doesn’t come close and looks cheap in my opinion. I live in a humid place too. I am over the black hardware look too, my kitchen is like a cream shaker and I went for gold knobs and handles and a gold bridge tap and it looks fantastic and I’m glad I went for the gold Hardwear

Hiiii I think because you want so much light in the house and the light 💡 you end up choosing will reflect on the flooring, I think bayside buff would be awesome since you can always darken it up or lighten it up the most without looking too yellow/gray

Happy Belated Birthday! The house ideas look amazing and I will be trying Milanote for my outfit inspiration! I’m a huge fan of the linen lingoda and Pamilla the best, because that color always looks so nicely with several other paint colors so if you wanted to a do like an accent wall or something you could do it and the color looks great in both full light and no light which is important so it still looks nice during the night. I personally love bayside buff a lot but palmilla might be better for what your looking for. I’m currently in the process of buying a home and I love the rustic/vintage look of houses so if I had to choose for myself it would be bayside buff. Whatever you guys choose tho will be amazing!

It's a toss up between Linen Lingoda and Palmilla but I'm leaning towards Linen Lingoda because it's a beautiful cool neutral shade that will match really well with the barn door with the beautiful grain feature without any yellow undertone in Palmila. As for the kitchen cabinetry, I do prefer the gold or brass hardware because it's more elegant and black is so common now and it's become ordinary because everyone has it. But ultimately Haley the Builder, you'll make the choices that's right for you and your beautiful family. ❤

Haley the builder …Eerst nog een gelukkige verjaardag 🎉😅 …Ik hou ook van de houten vloer maar hier in België hebben we tegeles die net hout zijn … iets duurder maar ik hou ervan om met veel water te kunnen poetsen en dat lukt niet met parket of hout ( ook een lichtere kleur met aaneensluitende planken , mijn favoriet is de 2 linen Lingoda of de buff )… en is ook nog koel in de zomer en warmer in de winter 😊 en ik ben voor bras gegaan in de keuken ipv zwart vond ik warmer aanvoelen . En zo een glazen dak hebben wij hier in België ook is super fijn zoals je zegt je krijgt het licht binnen maar houd wel een extra ruimte waar je een heel jaar door kan van genieten 😉( wij hebben hier ook een soort dak dat je kan invouwen dus je kan dit open vouwen en toe naargelang je zin of weer … maar weet niet of ze dit bij jullie ook hebben 🥴
