Trains in New York State 1998.

A few minutes of video salvaged from a brief trip to New York State in 1998 after suffering a camera malfunction (to say the least!).
I suppose the most interesting items of motive power seen were the soon to be retired ex New Haven EMD FL9s... and I think a re-vamped Turbo-train all making their way along the banks of the Hudson river.

The good old days. Amtrak F40s, brand new Metro-North P32s and FL9s. 🤩😭 I like the turbo train also, very aerodynamic and cool looking. Those FL9s were ex-New Haven units I believe. I didn’t even know those existed until now.

Metro-North retired their last FL9 in early 2002 I believe in favor of the Genesis units.
