How did I miss this one when it happened? Sean, you are SO patient. The guy with his completely WRONG "legal speak". Even though he was being an arrogant know-it-all, I was embarrassed for him when he clearly didn't know that someone can be "trespassed". He really thought the word could only be used for the act of trespassing, OOF. But, hey- I hope we are watching our words, Sean. LOL!!! 🤣😁
@catanace17418 ай бұрын
While common, this use of the term "trespass" is informal and somewhat of a legal slang. If you look up the laws with regard to trespassing, you would see that the word "trespass" is only used with regard to the illegal entry into a certain place, while the act commonly known as "to trespassing someone" is described as "denying entrance" or "ordering to leave".
@Please_Dont_Call_It_Frisco8 ай бұрын
@@catanace1741 You are correct 🙂it is most commonly used as a verb. It is also formally used as a noun, both in law and publication. Even the Bible correctly uses it as a noun and a verb. ""If a person commits a trespass, and sins unintentionally..." in Leviticus and in the well-known Lord's Prayer "And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us." The Bible doesn't use much slang 😁

I just want to say this real quick. For when she said “I’ll let her be your security…” to everyone out there that believes you should allow others to protect your own body instead of learning to protect yourself….. Respectfully….. A florida judge ruled that cops did NOT have an obligation to protect students during the parkland massacre. That should tell you to learn to protect yourself. Body cam, firearms, pepper spray, martial arts… whatever you feel comfortable doing… do that. But for this lady to say I’ll let someone else protect me, is never an answer for me.
