I belive her and Saycon Sengbloh are the only 2 to wear the black pants and the blue tops. I remember someone mentioning something about the black pants made them look slimmer than the blue. I'm not 100% sure how true that was though.

I read somewhere that apparently the original fabric of the leggings was getting discontinued. They didn't want to waste so much fabric for such a limited run, so they only used it for the top.

It actually was not because of limited materials. Mel didn’t want to wear the blue pants. The blue is amazing but it’s not particularly slimming. She didn’t like the way she looked in them at the fitting, so they made her black ones. Saycon Sengbloh wore black pants as well. She actually started with the blue, but eventually was switched to black. She had strong, curvy legs and the black pants suited her better.
