Rented a Scooter to see this! (The Big Buddha)

Today we travelled down south from Patong to the Big Buddha statue in the south of Phuket. We rented a scooter in Patong in order to get there but it was quite a beautiful and scenic ride as we rode past Karon beach and into the mountainous area's of Phuket.
Once we got to the Big Buddha, we were absolutely shocked at the shear size of the statue. The Bug Buddha sits about 400m above sea level and is 45m high and 26m wide. The Buddha is made from concrete but is tiled with white jade marble. It costs about $950,000.00 dollars to build and was mainly funded by donations.
This Buddha faces east, overlooking Chalong Bayand the views of Chalong Bay were absolutely JAW DROPPING.
This is 100% must do if in Phuket!
