It's rental car which is expensive than own car. He made 1600 in 5 days which means 320 a day and as per uber's 12 hrs policy, it's 26.6 something per hour. Let's say 20 per hour without headache of own car, makes sense.

Do we need to pay for any insurance if we are planning a rental car for a week? Also, I have my license but I believe to make an uber Id, I will need a vehicle number and insurance on my name. So, how to create that ID with the rental car? I hope you understand my concern.

You don’t need to buy any insurance if opting a rental car. To create an Uber Id, you have different links to upload your documents. Just upload all those you have and leave vehicle details. Whenever you’re getting rental car,rental company will add vehicle details in your Uber Account. Then you can start Uber. PS- make sure to get your PTC done in case of riding in GTA.
