Hi, thank you! For this studio I was paying around 200USD per week (at the today’s currency price) plus in addition you pay for electricity and internet. If you would want to rent a house this will be around 420USD per week or more plus electricity and internet.

Apartment & Visa are the Ying & Yang of expat residency. NZ has a reputation of being an easy place to visit, but very difficult to stay. So... what visa do you have that would enable the rental of a long term apartment?

Any type long-term visa will enable you for renting, for example student visa or work visa. However the package of documents you need to submit to the property manager is massive, make sure your renting application is supported with well financed source.

Hmmm... 5 years is a little long for a student visa, even a bachelors degree only takes 4 years. So... a work visa presumably. What work do you do that would enable you to stay in NZ?@@juliaronin2667

There are students visas for studies that take under two years. After study it is possible have a post-study work visa. One can choose the profession that is included into green list and that will lead to the residency path. Make a research at NZ immigration web-page
