Great video Tino! We've been waiting for you to get it uploaded. It was a pleasure meeting you and Joanie and showing you the two rental properties. And as some people have commented, there are rentals that are less expensive but they are often old and/or Filipino standard homes. Over the past 6+ years rental prices in the Dumaguete area have risen steadily. The continuing influx of foreigner visitors & retirees has kept demand high while the supply of more Western standard homes remains relatively low. In general, a 2 bedroom furnished rental home will cost between 15k - 25k per month depending on location, amenities included, and age of the property. A 3 bedroom furnished rental home is a bit higher and will usually cost between 18k - 30k per month. Keep up the good work, providing quality content, and best of luck with your channel!

Here in America it costs more to park your car next to the beach per month then it does to live in the Philippines

Interesting 🤔 I didn’t know that! I wish I could come to the states 🇺🇸 to visit.

Here in Los Angeles, they are planning to charge motorists to Drive to lovely Santa Monica Beach and trendy parts of West LA on major streets. That's in addition to parking (Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica Ave, etc). This is no BS.

Enjoyed your cool vid, new sub. PI is the best bargain in all aspects for a Westerner, with the Pinoy hospitality as the bonus. If Tim K went back to Newport Beach California, he would find a dinky run down 1 bedroom apartment for $2,500 USD, lol. Regards, JP in LA

22k a month.. oof... imo.. if youre going to rent that alone.. i think its a bit too much.. but if youre bringing along 2-3 people with you.. then i guess its kind of ok.. but i suggest you continue the search for a more cheaper ( around 7k - 14k ) with a more secured place ( with cctv's and a guard ) , with the help you your viewers and other people im sure you will get a above average place with an affordable price. good luck.
@TinoPesenti4 жыл бұрын
Yes, as I said I know there are cheaper places in other provinces or further along the coast but I just wanted to show that it is possible to get something in a nice area for an affordable price.

@Jill The 1 And Only no its in php and its expensive for what it is! thats why the lady said "all of the neighbors are foreigners".... because no pinoy would ever pay those prices for that place

Do NOT pay that much for a monthly rental in the Philippines… That’s how much it costs in Kentucky, United States to rent a cheap place. The Philippines should be much much cheaper.
@TinoPesenti4 жыл бұрын
Have you ever been to the Philippines 🇵🇭? I’ve lived in the Philippines for about 3 years and finding a place to rent with that sort of standing is rarely cheaper than that. I’m not saying that those prices are the cheapest but they’re not expensive either.
@The_Southern_Yankee4 жыл бұрын
Tino Pesenti I have never been to the Philippines but I would expect the rental prices to be much cheaper than the US.
@TinoPesenti4 жыл бұрын
The Southern Yankee I guess it is in the end... You need to compare what’s comparable and take 2 same kind of appartements with the same kind of location(close to the ocean, close to a big city) and here you will find a real difference. The cheapest places you can find in the Philippines are 40$ a month but when a Filipino would settle for a place like that, I don’t know if you would?!
