The 20th Century was a major time for flight. The world went from fighting wars using planes made using balsa wood and and laminated printer paper to getting men on the moon in just 55 years, going from the year WW1 began 1914 to the year of the Moon Landings 1969 which also is the same year that the supersonic airliner Concorde made it's first flight.
