I have a 5 stage bean sorter I got from Amazon a few years ago, same concept. However you have to take it a step further, start with your bulk lego (small, big, and technic) and use the largest sorter and scoop bulk into it while it's sitting in a bin it's size. Shake and mix until the smaller parts are in the clear bin and dump the large parts (you can fish out technic CCBS and partial builds out) then repeat until third box is full and bin of small/medium is full. Take layers 1-4 and use those to sort by size. It helps to get the sorting by size done first then take a paper plate and sort the sizes by type.

How about: There's a box. Inside the box, there is one, say, half the size. This second box is composed purely of holes. This second sif box is supported by a lever, which you can rotate. This way you'll have 2 layers which are well sorted, better than shaking. Repeat the idea for how many layers you want. Many concentric boxes.
@renzo2604 ай бұрын
That might work too! Probably does take up a bigger footprint right?

The way I would make the holes is based on a lego brick size take a 2x2 brick, then you make the holes big enough for a 3x3 stud one

2:09 no I mean yes it sounds easy but them large plates are going to be REALLY good at blocking the holes stopping the smaller bits from falling though, once your past the plates part it will get slightly easier but the whole reason a coin sorter works is it has a way to get rid of everything it it’s sorting try while what you suggested is both the sort tray and the final destination which is going to be a pain in your ass.
@SunshineCo2256 ай бұрын
To be fair it wouldn't be that hard to just... Pick out the large plates. They're kinda already large and obvious.
@baconscoobysnacks31355 ай бұрын
@@SunshineCo225at that point you're sorting the Legos yourself lmao. You missed the point, at every level the Legos will clog the holes of the smaller holed tray that they sit on, meaning you'd have to pull Legos out on every size
