IKR???? MAN. Same here!! Impeccable songwriting. Each piece of imagery, each emotion, every example and bit of context, the layers.. It's so skillfully woven into this canvas presented to us, expressing the topic ever-clearly. I really, really feel this one. Relate a lot (in some sort of a way of course). I wouldn't even know where to begin, writing lyrics like that, it's absurd how on point this song describes it all. Gosh. Another masterpiece from the Alien Prince Ren Zotto!!! I love Ren's songs and dark songs so much, that's why Monstrosity hit me hardest. The eerie melody gives me chills and Ren's singing is gorgeous as always (2:22 I'm deadge). The way "look at me" becomes more demanding to the end❤‍🔥 I'll write two theories. The first one is lore related. "Monstrosity" is Ren's deadly alien prince's roots that he's not happy about and trying to suppress. But they are still the part of him and you can't deny the part of yourself forever. The more he suppresses his own "core" the more "loud" it becomes. This inner "Monstrosity" asks Ren to "look at it", to accept it, whispers to him sweet lies about "setting him free". there is also the question "when" this is happening. Is it before Ren came to the Earth or is it happening right now in the ILUNA Institute? If it's the first, than it's more about a notorious Deadly Alien Prince realizing that he was a monster and trying to deny it, that leaded him to runaway from home (and getting lost in the process, let's be real lol). And if it's the second, than the suppression of alien's violent core starts wearing Ren out. It becomes harder and harder for Prince to reject this part of himself. Will he turn back as he was before arriving to the Earth? Will he become the one who destroys the planet in the end? I have a headcanon that all ILUNA students (otherworldly beings) despite their cute images are actually future villains that would become the threat to the world and XSOLEIL (humans with superpowers) would try to save the Earth from them. The second theory is more metaphorical one. "Monstrosity" is "inner demons" aka "ugly feelings" like anxiety, anger and etc. Overthinking about and rejecting them erode our mind, make us hate ourselves, feel as "such a horrible person". With time all this negativity piles up and can bury you alive, decent you into madness. That's my two cents into songs interpretation. The MV is insane, the art and 3D elements are so cool🤯 Ren's Alien form, I'm on my knees🛐 Alien form outfit one day, please, I'm begging😭 Thank you for another banger, Ren!!!!💚
