The REO part of their band name comes from the fact that all their names begin with R....Reno (drums)....Ron Joseph (keyboards/guitar) RayMart (rhythm guitar) Ralph (bass) and RoyMark (keyboards).....and their mother's last name is Evasco and their father's last name is Otic.....so REO....

Great reaction Samantha, similar to mine when I first discovered them a year ago. These real brothers are sometimes referred to as "The Beatles of the Philippines" They are the only Pilipino group to have ever preformed at the Cavern in England. They have many Beatles covers, as well as other covers of different groups such as the Bee Gees and Eagles. To start, perhaps begin with their Beatles Love Songs, of which there are I believe 5 different videos. Thank you for show casing them, they do deserve worldwide recognition.

I'm glad you followed my/our suggestion to watch the REO Brothers. They were displaced when Tacloban City was devastated by Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda in 2013 and thus were discovered playing in gigs in Metro Manila. They're playing inside their home studio now but they used to go on gigs around the world and in the Philippines.

Search for the REO Brothers and another famous band that you like from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Chances are they have made a cover of a song you are familiar with so just react to that and enjoy how they actually recreated the original sound of the vocals and the instrumentals. How about The Bee Gees, The Beach Boys, The Eagles, The Turtles, The Cascades, Simon and Garfunkel, America, The Hollies, Dire Straits, Earth Wind & Fire, The Alan Parsons Project, and a few more. Ralph Otic (the bass player) also covers Michael Bublé and other standards.
