Reolink RLC811A: upgrade the most used and most important camera in my setup to 4K

My street camera is probably my oldest but the most used camera. And it caught an incident on the street and I helped the police with video evidence. This camera deserves and upgrade for more resolution, and better quality.

Do this cam will not recognise car plates at night right? Do you know which reolink cam can record plates at night?

No, it just recognizes a car, not the license plate.

Did this replace your 510wa camera? We are looking at both for basic home use on house corners Where did you get mounting box?

My 510WA is moved close to the gate now where I don't have wired connection. But that is still up and running and I am very happy with it. One thing I did not mention that the 510WA has a 3:4 image, whereas the newer camera has a widescreen 16:9 (or similar image). If you need to cover a wider area the later works better. I got the mounting box in a local hardware store, it is a generic external rated plastic junction box.

It detects the cars and people that are like 30 meters away on the street.

Works terrible with NVR. NVR and software is Junk also. Too much trouble.

🐕‍🦺💩 it's always the same people. It's my neighbor here in the States that does the same thing with his dog. Just leaves it for you.

Fuuuu... Since I put the camera up, they stopped doing that. Happens twice, so could be a coincidence.
