That is a devestating situation . But ultimately a woman is making the conscious choice to end a life. I am 42, married with 2 kids in grade school. I am currently taking birth control and have sex with my husband. I still can get pregnant. I will not have another child for many reasons but one of them is the pregnancy would take a toll on my health. If I got pregnant next week that does not make me irresponsible and selfish. If I had the baby I would be irresponsible because I would be taking time, money, my mental stability away from my children. I would not be able to work. If my husband wanted the child that would be selfish on his part. My body, my choice. No one,absolutely no one is going to put my life in danger because they believe abortion is wrong. I know it's how Obamacare was allowed to stand and since Roe vs Wade it's been the default position of the left that the supreme court does make law. But the constitution says the supreme court interprets laws that are made by the legislative branch. So the great news is, have the so called majority of Americans that want abortion pressure their representatives to pass an amendment the supreme court can interpret. Then the states will be forced by the supreme court to follow the federal government's rule on abortion. Until that happens, abortion isn't in the constitution so the Federal government has no right to force a state to do anything. The great thing about federalism is it is 50 individual experiments people can choose from. The ones with laws people prefer will win. More people will move to them they will grow in power in the Federal government to spread their government to the rest of the country to help those less liked governments. Especially in today's mobile workforce. You no longer have to live in NY or California to participate in their economies. So you're no longer forced to live under their oppressive governments. And that's why we see this great migration to Texas and Florida. FREEDOM!!! California is beautiful, but since I can participate in it's economy from Texas, the view isn't worth the oppression from the California government.

Yes, I know you can say it is countable and it should therefore be "fewer rights" but language is not about grammatical consistency or whatever you think it is. I'm 42 with two boys 6 and 10. Love them to death but I do not want anymore children. It would not be fair to them. I am married, take birth control and have sex often. I also have chronic pain from covid and a severe car accident that was not my fault. I feel I would have complications if I was pregnant again like when I had my csection and was barely breathing. I have severe sleep apnea and other medical issues. So I believe a woman should be able to control her own body and make her own decisions without interference. When the Senate majority is increased by two seats, the law will be based on HIPPA precedent, and privacy rights. At that point, the courts will have no say.
