For all of you bringing up abortion: Being pro choice does not mean that everyone should get an abortion and that it’s a form of birth control. Pro choice means if you don’t want an abortion, then you don’t need to get one! Everyone’s lives and stories are different. If you think all lives are holy, then how do you feel about the foster system? Children at the border? Do those lives matter too? Pro choice is simply giving a choice. I’m a christian women and everything she says is what Jesus preaches. Jesus would be a radical in our world, and most christian evangelicals wouldn’t recognize him if they saw him. All sin is equal in the eyes of God. If getting an abortion is against your morals, then don’t get one, but don’t take that right away from someone who desperately needs it. Holiness means a separated life of right conduct and obedience to God. There is no one being harmed in the process and yet some act like their own marriage is on the line, but there is no correlation. For abortion, again I am not sure. Yet, I definitely strongly recommend that there should be more common sex education and better contraceptives to stop unwanted pregnancies in the first place. Still don't know about raped women though, not sure what to do about them, but bless their souls. They changed the ten commandments to remove "thou shalt not worship graven images" because of all the graven images. They pray through Mary which is not found in the bible. Stop trying to implement here on earth that which is reserved for Heaven. Don't like something, or don't believe in it...then don't do or believe it in your own personal life. Okay guys. Whether you are democrat or Republican. Conservative or liberal or independent. I have to say only this: While it’s true that I feel a lot of people in the country do not call out sin as they are supposed to and don’t practice a life style of true holiness and compassion by living for God. I admire AOC’s approach toward the religious community. We Christians have gotten so much hate because people have misused our Bible and scripture to attack others. AOC not only clarifies this to a T and specifics that these religious communities then face hate because of the misconceptions. This has happened to me personally over and over and over and most politicians never clarify this or always make us look bad. SHE GOES OVER AND BEYOND to make sure we are represented fairly. I appreciate this TONS. My level of respect for her goes through the roof. While she did said that everyone is holy is kind of false, since holiness is a lifestyle and not a guaranteed automatic. I get that she meant every soul and human being is precious and worth of respect. Which is absolutely 100% Jesus in my eyes. Every soul is worth fighting for. That’s why Jesus came. He gave his life for humanity so that we could have a second chance from our sin and get right with God. It’s a beautiful story of redemption and self-sacrifice for others. I’m so tired of people making my Jesus look bad. God is so important to me in my life. He is my everything. She uses scripture and the Bible in a positive light and I’ll take positive coverage of the faith over negative coverage even if there are a few tiny errors.
