Justin Amash, Rand Paul, Thomas Massie are all great politicians (senators and congressman) and one common thing that connects them all is that they cross party lines to vote for freedom of the people rather than stick to their party line vote. We don't deserve them, but we really, really need them.

Well, Amash is also a big proponent of ranked choice voting and fairer ballot access. I mean, he's only got an R after his name because Michigan has straight ticket voting, so . . .

If Congress want's to really do something meaningful, start with the abolition of the Commission on Presidential Debates. My bet is that any (much-needed) dismantling of the two-party system won't happen without this criminal enterprise, along with it's handlers, being hanged, drawn and quartered.

I am glad, that I don't vote for anyone who will vote for a bill that is marginally better than the bill or law it may, or may not be replacing in one form or another! That is why, as a life long voting Independent, I have voted none of the above! Because, I want something that is either the best a person can possibly do, or forget it and don't mess with something that you are not going to make the best for everyone as a whole!
@Fuzzybeanerizer4 жыл бұрын
So then those who will make things incrementally worse will win the election, and things will get incrementally worse with them running things.
@TheCrewChief3744 жыл бұрын
@@Fuzzybeanerizer It has been that way for years. Which is why I have always been an Independent. Since both sides have played a part in making things incrementally worse. Therefore, if the person is only repeating a bunch of talking points, and has no intention of actually representing the people who allegedly elected them. Then it will not get any better until people really do their research on the person they just have to vote for every time they come up for re election. Furthermore, if there does happen to be someone running against them, it is normally someone that is just there to make it appear that we actually have a choice. Although in reality they already know who the winner is going to be normally.
@Knightmessenger4 жыл бұрын
You should ask him about electoral reforms that would weaken the 2 party stranglehold, such as ranked choice voting and proportional representation.
@zombiedude3477 жыл бұрын
The 2-party system will best be killed by implementing a direct proportional representation system. My method of doing so would be 1) a way to register a new political party with the state 2) a way to register what party you are in for the next election (independent counted as it's own "party") 3) at election time, assign each party X representatives and Y senators, proportional to the number of people registered 4) each party implements it's own multi-winner voting system to elect their own representatives and senators 5) independents vote for independents using a multi-winner system chosen by congress. 6) any single-winner election, such as the president, is instead done using a range-vote between -1 and 1 between members of all parties and independents.

That's the thing. They want it to finally be over. The former FBI director straight out said, there is no evidence of the Trump Administration being influenced by Russia. The media just doesn't want to give up on this. An oversight hearing should end it.

Former FBI director Comey was a cover-up artist for HSBC, a huge British bank scandal involving drug cartels... Obama's visit to the Vatican provided secret NSA computer input wiping out secret accounts held by Clinton's Latin America Working Group and the Jewish sex slavery ring owned by Clinton friends Jeffrey Epstein and Alan Dershowitz... The Vatican's bank and Westminster are invested heavily in child trafficking and laundering money for opium cartels.

While it would be lovely for parties not to exist, that's Not realistic. Aside from human nature (people banding together in a common cause) the Electoral college makes it so there Cannot Be more than 2 parties. Better to call for Libertarians to replace the Democrats.
@Flatunello5 жыл бұрын
Since Democrats are largely socialists and libertarian are anything but, that idea is absurd. We have the non-statist concepts of both parties, i.e., live and let live. No public schools or government curricula, for example. If taxes must support education, make vouchers available to allow choice irrespective of school type, religious or secular. No majoritarian force on minority positions, be they political, ethnic, religious, or economic minorities - simple rules for a peaceful life.

Unfortunately this guy is a dim wit. Eliminating the two party system creates a one party system, I.e., communist countries don't have political parties. The US might be better served with more than two parties, but advocating for no parties is equivalent to advocating for governmental non accountability,
