Rep. Paul Gosar's Ties to Neo-Nazi Movement Under Scrutiny

We look at a newly confirmed direct connection between a white supremacist leader and a staffer for one of Trump's staunchest supporters in Congress. The digital director for right-wing Arizona Congressmember Paul Gosar has been revealed as a prominent follower of neo-Nazi online influencer Nick Fuentes. Gosar himself is linked to organizers of the January 6 insurrection and was censured for posting an animated video on social media where he murdered Congressmember Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and attacked President Biden. We speak with Talking Points Memo reporter Hunter Walker about his exclusive report, which he says "removes that veil of plausible deniability" from Gosar about his office's ties to extremists.

She was born in 1933(less than a year after the Great Depression) in Wyoming, deeply Roman Catholic, ten children, staunch Republican, conservative, she depended on others to shape her world view. First her father, them her husband, then her kids, and of course, FoxNews. She attended many republican presidential campaign rallies, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Trump. These are all pretty consistent traits of people her age who would subscribe to prejudiced leanings. That's not to say she was as extreme as Paul, or that she really grasped the extent of his devotion to white supremacy. I wouldn't know that. I'm just saying that all the right elements are there.

I live in Gosar's district and it returned him to Congress with nearly 70% of the vote. The Sheriff in Yavapai County which is a large part of Gosar's district, meets with the Oath Keepers several times a year and has made comments that they are some of his favorite people. Most of the people here are not what you would call very intelligent. When a politician comes along and says he'll make sure the government doesn't take their guns and big diesel-guzzling pick-ups, he'll get their vote. There are such places in our country.

Paul Gosar keeps winning re-election because of his views. Gosar has employed Wade Searle Since November 2021. Searle reportedly is a "dedicated acolyte of Nick Fuentes. The family is actually divided. Paul Gosar is his mother's favorite child out of 10 children, and she supports him 100% even to the point of denouncing 6 of her other children. Paul was also his father's favorite when he was still alive. Paul also has the support of three of his brothers. The 3 younger brothers and his 3 sisters are the ones who oppose him.......all of whom are deeply unpopular in their deep red home state of Wyoming. Since 2018, the six of Gosar's nine siblings have been speaking out against their brother and endorsed his Democratic opponents.

It is occasionally recalled that the late Senator Robert Byrd, who served as Senate Democratic Leader, had been in the Klan.
