Why is no one talking about the hostages? If they are released, then the Palestinians would have a strong argument for Ceasfire. Also, the World has never been concerned about Muslims killing Muslims. Asad has killed hundreds of thousands of people (only 25k palastinians have been killed): Not a peep from the world.... but the moment the jews start defending themselves (against evil no less), the world has has a huge and significant problem. Thank you to all the congresspeople participating in this conference - to those who have spearheaded the coalition for peace and the protection of civilians since October. Thank you from the bottom of my heart in particular to Representative Schakowsky, who represents me. There was a push this past week that I participated in in my municipality, Evanston, IL, to get constituents to call Rep. Schakowsky and express their support for a ceasefire resolution on the federal level. The directness of her response in the form of her participation in this press conference is registered and deeply felt by the members of her constituency who called and wrote to her, and the many more who agree and did not. It demonstrates her commitment to true representation and her profound humanity, which in turn inspires belief in such values in us. I am proud that she is my representative, and I hope to see continued follow-up in the form of serious support for a bill eliminating US aid to Israel in all forms that cannot be guaranteed beyond reasonable doubt to not contribute to the enforcement of apartheid and the perpetration of genocide on Palestinians. Thank you, Rep. Jan Schakowsky.
