When you said you chose the hot pink color palette, everything in me screamed "No!" It was too overwhelming, no way it could look good, especially in such quantity. I'm so thrilled you proved me wrong. I need to make sure I always give you the benefit of the doubt -- you never disappoint.

Tbf the color in her drawing is more vibrant or bright and the brown paired with it in the drawing wasn't good together with the pink. The pink on the doll isn't as neon pink, all of the brown is darker, and you get to see more of the brown than in the original concept. My only complaint about the doll is just the coat. The doll didn't really give me a steampunk vibe, until she took the coat off.

Have you ever considered attempting to bleach and then redye a dolls hair, instead of replacing it completely? Im not sure how well it would work, but you could always give it a try?

As most doll hair is nylon fiber, you would not be able to bleach it using conventional methods, it's not at all like human hair. Some paler colours (like the infamous 'fading pink' found on many vintage toylines) fades to white with UV exposure, but generally it's far easier to reroot or make a wig for a doll.

Also, most of the dolls have hair made of saran, wich is a synthetic fiber/material made of plastic, so: - It can't be dyed, but it (usually) can be somewhat stained with alcohol markers or pastel powder to *darker,* but it can't get lighter - It is not heat resistant (unlike nylon), so using hot water or blow driers to straight or curl it might wrinkle and stiff the fiber permanently - If you're not careful enough, the color of whatever medium you use to dye the hair might transfer to the doll's face/body/limbs, *permanently* staining it
