Really nice work. I am 61 and art has changed from way back then when I started. I am rebuilding a house, first time. Some wood work on my stair case and banister, first time for wood carving. My childhood home is a large art project. I have had a person tell me to tear it down and put a mobile home there. I don't think so. It all has to be rebuilt, the foundation isn't good. Most of the skeletal structure is good. Only water damage to the wood has to be replaced. Hope to have it done next year. Money is the thing that slows this project down.

The bodies and hair are astounding however I would go for a more lighter and related color palette for the face I would also suggest using hard pastel instead of paint for the scales but I love everything else don’t get me wrong

What can I say but that this quadlet (is that even a word? if not, it should be!) of dolls is (is? are?) astounding! How on earth did you keep track of which was which when you worked on them? It would be such a shame to separate them, I feel these quadruples need to stay together as they compliment each other perfectly. I love your creative eye, somehow you can look at something and see something else entirely in it and this is a skill that I envy!

I think for the hands you can use gel polish n cured it on a little lamp of uv/led n is more fast for ur work👍🏼 love ur work btw ❤️🥰

The only way to fail is not to try. Everything else -- even trying & not getting it right -- is learning. Think of the first drawings you ever did as a kid. Not quite right, but you kept drawing & are better at it, right? Check thrift stores, garage sal4s & any little girls you know for scrappy dolls to practice on. My mom taught me this & that, if you could read, you could do anything coz someone had surely written a book about it (I predate any thought of computers, much less KZbin.) There are *tons* of videos about doing anything at all on KZbin. Give yourself a chance! Re: drawing. Yup, I've practiced & taken classes. Could not quite get realism down, so I developed a loose, kinda abstract Picasso-ish style. Made an Elvis drawing (among others). Without telling me, my husband entered it in the county fair. Won a blue ribbon. Ya never know what's waiting for you.

Thank you! Its true I try to work with what I already have, old clothes, ribbons that I have collected over the years, bits and pieces! I got in to doll customising after watching Dollightfulls and Hextians channels, and wanted to give it a go my self! I some times make dolls specifically to sell, to help me with the cost of this hobby, like these girls where 😊👍 I hope this answer helped you!

Hey I have a tip when you want to soften the dolls head put them in a clear plastic ziplock bag it works the sands to head remove the head but they won’t get wet amazing video byeeee

Does it work only with watercolor pencils and pastels? Can I use wax based color pencil? And how do you spray the MSC? I've heard it's super toxic. Anyhow, great work!!!

MSC only works with water based supplies, so no wax pencils will not work with msc, I dont now about other types of sealents. It is toxic you shoud not spray it indoors only outside and protect your self with a mask and gloves/long sleeves!

I used different types of ribbon, I glued the desings strait on to the dolls. Nereidas top was done layering the ribbons one in top of the other 👍

I have a really silly question, but it's for an urgent project and I'm short on supplies. What's the worst that could happen, if after colouring in a Korean Ddung doll face entirely pale blue using watercolor Staedtlers ....what if ...we use no sealant at all ? Would it last ? Would it come off on hands/ clothes etc ?

It will propably smudge, and it woudn't be water prrof or sweat prrof, it might last okey for a little while, but best bet is to go with acrylic paints if you don't have a sealent!

@@josephines.creaturesThanks you. Yes, I did a few trials, I realised so. Now, I plan to dye them using the RIT Synthetic liguid dye, to get an overall pale blue doll body. It's my first time with a dye. I hope it works out. Will update you with the results.
